Note 10.1 (No Popup when connecting to PC)

Hi , I got a Note 10.1 2012 model and when I connect it to my computer .. My computer did not reconize it and the note tablet didnt show anything on the notifications about the USB being connected..and yes I do have samsung usb drivers installed and kies installed manually ,,, but Kies doesnt even detect it ...

Another weird thing I found out is the tablet only charges when there is a red X on the battery
If not it will stay on the same battery percentage forever :/

Welcome to Android Central! The red X usually means there's an issue with the USB cable/charger, or possibly the microUSB port. Try a different USB cable--preferably the one that came with the tablet, if you're not already using it. If you are using the original cable, then perhaps it became faulty.
