They are trying to be faster with the improvements google made on the backend to make it easier to update the software, but I would still be very surprised for any release this year. From what I saw it would be January at the earliest.

Why can't they do like Apple and Google to just let anyone who wants to do beta in.

Usually from doing the beta testing and experience I seen in past they start roll out in late December to early January to international select countries then slowly to rest

I think the S10 series is supposed to get it before the end of the year. The Note beta started later, so it may be January. Google issued some kind of statement about the state of updates and Samsung was one of the OEMs that has told Google they'll start rolling stable 10 before the end of the year.

That makes a lot more sense. I think the writer is conflating the S11 with Note 11.

Beta 2 seems to have fixed one of the biggest issues I was having. Swiping up to go to recents was terribly buggy on the first beta. Not only does it seem to be working all the time now, but the animation is much smoother.

No issues here with accidental touches so far on the beta. Doesn't seem better or worse than before the beta. Per above, I just got the 2nd beta today. If I notice anything I'll report back.

Yes, gestures are very intuitive now. Also flickering is fixed.
