Note 10 or Note 10 plus

I am disappointed, pre-announcement I was interested in the standard 10 for the size, good sized screen and some middle ground between the S10 and 10+ also as a UK user the chip upgrade is attractive as we got properly short-changed this side of the pond.

I feel a little let down though, I do not understand why they have stripped the features from the smaller one it is not like Samsung and the small price difference makes the standard 10 a poor choice IMO. If they had made the price difference larger it may have been more interesting.

Lastly no ceramic option is a shame. Love my ceramic S10+. The processor bump has me curious but no sale for me and probably the pixel 4.

YMMV
Yeah, I was a little let down by the screen resolution. I would of preffered they stick with the higher resolution and simply made it a flat display.

Missing out the time of flight camera and SD card slot are a little disappointing, but with 256gb built in i really don't need it.

If you want a more pocketable Note, get the N10. If you need/want all the bells & whistles, then get the N10+. I went with the 10+.

I like the bells and whistles. And the bigger screen.

I'm OK with the resolution. The 10 Plus and the 9 have roughly the same number of pixels (4.3M) which should help with the battery of the Plus (though there is a larger area to light). Interesting that the standard Note 10 has only 2.4M pixels which is just over half of the other phones.

Resolution on the 10 Plus is fine, I was disappointed in the resolution of the regular 10, which is the model I'm getting.

Yes the PPI is 100 less than the Plus. The iphone XR is even worse at 326 ppi but gets very good reviews on it's display. I have a Max ATM and side by side at the store I find it difficult to see difference in sharpness. The two different display technologies however give the phones a different look when compared against each other. I want the Plus but I'll wait for the battery life reviews before I trade away the Max. Its battery life is quite good and quite a bit better than the last Android I owned.....the Sammy S8 Plus.

Note 10+, black and 256GB.
Have to have the SD card and large screen.
To me, the regular is just a iPhone.

I went to a local Verizon store and played with the Note 10 plus 5g model. I compared it to my S9 phone, the Note 10+ is def longer but not wider. I checked the Device Care app and it had something like 7 point something GB of free RAM available. Screen is impressive with very little bezel. The camera notch in the top middle is visible, but not so bad. But, but, but, but...the curved screen persists! Ugh. The Verizon store is only taking pre-orders now, the rep says the unit won't be available until around the 23rd.

Note 10 Plus 5g 256 Aura Glow. I wanted the 512 but it didn't have the glow. I'm going to add a terabyte sd card. 5G isn't in my area but you never know when it will be and I like having the latest and greatest.

Ordered the note 10 plus aura blue 256 through Tmo.

The Aura Blue is only available through Best Buy, who doesn't sell T-Mobile devices, or from Samsung.com, but only as an unlocked device. You can't get the Aura Blue through T-Mobile.

Do you mean you purchased the Unlocked model and plan to use it on T-Mobile?

I also got the 256GB for the Aura Glow. Wanted the 512GB, but honestly, I never came anywhere close to using it on my 512GB Note 9. I actually was good with the 128GB on my first Note 9, and only upgraded for the extra RAM. Now all models of the N10+ come with 12GB RAM.

I didn't opt for 5G though. T-Mo isn't ready for 5G yet, and by the time they are and it's widely available, the N11 or maybe even the N12 will be out.

Preordered 2 of the Note 10+ Aura glow from Verizon with their Buy 2 get a $39.58 credit on the second one for 24 months almost comes out to buy one get one free. We both have the Note 8 now

I played with both today and I'm glad I went with the smaller Note. It's amazing that the screen size is about the Same as my Note 9, but in a much smaller and compact phone.

Here are some comparison shots between the smaller 10 and my Note 9 and iPhone XS.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing those pics. The smaller note would be great for me if Samsung didn't strip it down so much.

Yeah, I wish it had the same specs as the larger one too, but the loss of the SD Card isnt a big deal for me as 256gb is more than enough, the 8gb ram are still an upgrade over the 6gb I have on my Note 9, and after seeing the display at Best Buy it doesnt seem like the lower resolution is that noticable.

I still can't get over how compact it was compared to my Note 9 with almost the same size display.
