Note 10 Plus App Restore

Hey guys,

So I traded in my Note 8 for a Note 10+ in Aura Black and I love it! I backed everything up to an SD card before handing it in but I kinda wanted to start fresh with my new phone. I was concerned that if I did a full restore from my Note 8, something might hinder the performance like spyware/adware, etc. same as what happens after using the same computer for so long.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was a way to manually add specific apps from the back up. I don't think it gives you the option to pick and choose which apps you want to copy using Smart Switch.

Is there a way to do this?

With my note 8 I used smart switch to create a back up on my SD card, you can choose exactly what you want to back up. Then I put the SD card into the 10+ and used smart switch to copy the back up. Sounds like what you're looking for...

Have done that before and not had any issues with it.

When I launched Smart Switch, I get to the page where it's asking what you want to transfer (contacts, pictures, messages, apps, etc.) But it looks like it will copy ALL apps from backup. There's just a check box next to the APPS icon and didn't see a way to pick and choose which apps you want to transfer. That's what I'm trying to do, I only want some of the apps from the old phone.

when I've used smartswitch in the past it copied it all but you could pick and choose what to restore. hope it's still the same.

Do you have a SD card? On my note 8 I clicked up there to make the back up and it let me pick and choose what to back up

For me setting up as a new device, assit with learning about the device and tuning settins to my preferences. I back up data, video and images to sd card and my onedrive business account. The Office mobile app from Samsung and MS collaboration fits me to a T. And its fun setting up a new device.
