The answer may be obvious but please help me understand. Why are the wifi download speeds so much faster on my unlocked S20+ versus my Verizon Note 10+? Is it the 865 chip? Have my SIM in the Note but it's the same whether I switch off mobile data or leave it on. My S20+ is typically 2 to 5 times faster for wifi download speeds on my home wifi from the same position relative to the router. Thanks for any info you can provide.

You've probably already checked this, but are both devices connecting to the same band, or could it be that the Note10+ is connecting to 2.4 GHz while the S20+ is connecting to 5 GHz?

To be honest, I'm not sure how to check that. I'm deciding which phone to keep and believe I have them set up identically. But, again, I'm not sure how to confirm they're connecting to the same band. I'll do more research. Thanks!

When connected to the wi-fi network, go to Settings>Wi-fi, then select the network you're connected to. It should give you more details, including the Frequency, Signal Strength, Security, and other Advanced options.

Thank you.
