Android Central Question

When I watch youtube videos on my Note 10 through Chrome and hit the "fullscreen" button, it is forcing the videos to take up the entire screen by cropping the bottom (and maybe top?) off. How do I make it show the video in its true aspect ratio? I don't mind black bars - I just want to see the whole video.

Thanks for replying. I am watching in landscape.

I've noticed with the YouTube app it is fine - I get the black bars by default and can pinch to zoom to fullscreen if I want to.
However, on the mobile YouTube page it fills the whole screen with no pinch to zoom out option, so this results in part of the video being cropped out.

I don't remember this happening on my S7 Edge, although I think that was a 16:9 screen anyway.

Hi, Welcome !

There's a little button on bottom right of the video I made a screen shot with red arrow you try this?Screenshot_20191118-225622__01.jpeg

Yeah, when I click that it goes fullscreen, but crops the image. I just want it to fit the screen but at the proper aspect ratio with black bars, like the YouTube app does.
You can see comparing the image in landscape and portrait mode, that landscape has cropped the video.

Portrait mode shows full video. I want to see this on landscape with black bars instead of filling the entire screen and being cropped.
