People must really not take care of their phones to break the gorilla glass so easily. Step 1, don't put it in a small pants pocket. ... step 2, get a damn case. .. step 3, enjoy your phone staying in 1 piece forever

How did you break the gorilla glass?
The best people you can ask how much the glass is, are the samsung people. Those working in the service centers. I'm sure they know how to replace that.

The guy told you he broke it...he asked for suggestions on how to fix it not how he could have stopped the glass from breaking and if u guys think gorilla glass is really hard to break you guys are mistaken

It is very hard to break on direct impact..... Most break because of being in pockets and being flexed in awkward angles when receiving impact. I've seen videos of hammers and other objects pounding on it without breaking

KgK1985... Gorilla Glass II is bull . I do have to admit i did not get a Otterbox case because it was too bulky. I do have a slim wallet style case that works great and fits in my pockets. However the flap on it gets in the way if i let someone take my pic with it.. Nonetheless, I took the phone out for a photo.. and because the phone is a lot larger than all others it does become slightly more difficult to handle. I dropped the phone with absolutely NO force from about 2 1/2 to 3 feet and now my phone is semi-shattered.
Ok yes, My fault for the drop... But it just burns me up when people are praising this glass and speak of hammering and drop tests... It's all bull if it can't withstand a drop from so little of a distance.

Its actually easy to crack. I dropped it one time from waist level when i missed my pocket. Landed on a corner and spider webbed. It was pretty cold out about 5 degrees so that probably helped it break.

My phone fell out my purse. It was in a case and my screen broke. I am not careless with my phones. So anyone posting here who thinks you must have abused or neglected your phone in order for the screen to break is mistaken.

The cost to have it repaired by several repair shops I checked with ranged from $200.00 to $300.00 because they replace the glass and digitizer since it's one piece. None of them world replace just the glass.

Radio Shack quoted $70.00-$90.00. I'm not sure why it's so much less, but they do send it out to be repaired and they don't sell the repair kits for the N2.

I dropped mine on the corner and it made a slight crack. Ordered a glass for it, repair guy broke the digitizer during replacement and ordered me a new one.

Are all of the glasses the same? I have a Verizon model. I bought one off ebay for the i605, but just curious as to if I could have got this one from Amazon.

I have never had a phone break. Dropped the note 2 after only 2 months and glass has tons of cracks. Of course I didnt get the insrance this time because havent had this issue with other phones. I do have a case but the only cases offered 2 months ago didnt wrap around sides of phone. It is the flap style so offered no protection for a dropped phone. Very disappointed phone broke so easily.

I bought a cheap case off eBay and am very thankful for it... I've dropped it a few times and still haven't broke it... but then again, I have insurance so... No big loss.

Yep got my phone in a nice case and insured as well. $7 a month from Asurion. $7 x 24 (months) = $168 + $100 for the deduction = $268 to fully replace a busted/stolen device at any time vs $700 for full replacement. Very easy decision.

I still baby this thing like a 1961 Ferrari 250GT California though. Diaper wiping included.

Mine is through best buy... 10 x 24 = 240. No deductible. Asurion through Sprint is 11 a month plus a 200 deductible so.... we see who got the better deal. Anytime I break my phone, it's gonna be smashed..... So they can't be like "we can't find the problem"

Did you get insurance coverage? You could put a claim in if you did. Sorry you are having problems
