Note 2 loses data connection

I finally got a new device about 2 weeks ago. I was constantly resetting the data connection and just got tired of it. Since then, I haven't had any issues. Good luck with yours, I think there was just a bad batch!

I am supposed to be getting my replacement phone in a week or two (on back order).
Tech support never got back with me so I went to store and they said same thing, must be bad batch. Since it isnt just one carrier.
Hope all goes well for everyone, and hope my new...er one isnt part of the same batch! LOL

Had a long chat with AT&T rep. online yesterday. It appears there is something wrong with the SGSN (?) not registering, thereby kicking my internet connection off after a few minutes. They are replacing the phone under warranty and I should have a new (refurbished) one by the end of the week.

I had a 2 hour talk with the t-mobile people.... warranty phone on way.

This may or may not solve your issue. I received my warranty replacement phone a few weeks ago. Right off the bat, same problems, loses data connection when not on wi-fi. Got a free app from the Play store and started looking into the mobile network itself. What I found was that even though my status bar indicated that I was in a 4G LTE area when at work, the phone signal was not staying in LTE. It kept on switching back and forth between LTE and HSPA+ and through the switching it was losing the data connection. AT&T maps say that I'm in a full coverage LTE area, but this does not appear to be the case. As most of us know, you can't switch to the the 3G network easily on this phone. However, if you know the number code to dial and the correct settings, you can disable the 4G and LTE networks. Now, when I am at work, I run the code, and set the settings to 3G HSDPA network and because it is not constantly trying to find a signal, it never loses connection now. Sure, it's not as fast, but right now I'd settle for constant on than fast, especially when watching Netflix shows.

AT&T replaced my sim card as well, it worked for about three days and then started losing connection again. For the last month my connection comes and goes at will. I am so fed up.

Hi Kelly,
I have a note 2 and I am constantly losing my wifi connection even though no one else on the network is having trouble.
I found in the Network Configuration ... the 'Proxy' setting changes from 'none' to 'manual' and the trouble starts. I change it back to 'none' and the wifi is back,.. until it mysteriously changes back to 'manual'. Even saving the 'none' setting does not hold the 'none' setting. Go figure huh??
so far my only work around is to change the proxy back to none,.. it's a circle that goes around and around but it solves the problem temporarily. If the proxy setting would stay all would be good.
Hope it helps

I know this is an old thread but for those that still struggle i found Connection Stabilizer to work best:
