Note 20 Series SPen Tips no longer replaceable

You would have to try it. But if they're saying that the N20 SPens don't support changing tips, then changing the tip may not work at all. I believe you can still use the Note10 SPen with the Note20s though.
You certainly can use the Note 10 S Pen with the Note 20. I tried it today and not only do they look physically identical (except for, in my case, colour) but I could not, for the life of me tell any difference in performance. For me, they're totally interchangeable.

So, I just had a chat with Samsung support, and the reason they do not include SPen tips in the Note20 box, is because the new SPen apparently does not support changing tips. According to the support person, it is mentioned in the Samsung Support page about the SPen, but I could not find that info. If anyone is able to find it, I would appreciate the link.

I feel like that's another knock against Samsung with the Note line this year. Don't get me wrong, I do love my N20U, but again, for the prices we are paying, something like that should still be an option and included in the box. The price for a replacement PEN is $40! the tips would have been more accommodating.

I dunno, maybe I am just ranting at this point, but I just think it's odd of them to not mention this change with the SPen.

Personally I've never needed to change tips on an s pen with any of my notes even with pretty regular use and keeping my phones for 2 years

Supposedly the durability has been improved so that changing tips isn't necessary. If so, that's an advantage, not a disadvantage. There are always costs and tradeoffs involved in designing something to be removable. So unless a particular part is likely to wear out early, it's probably best to make it permanent.

I too see no documentation of the change. But the user guide no longer mentions stylus-tip removal, in contrast with previous models' user guides. So it's a good rule of thumb not to dismantle a device in ways that are not documented.

I replaced my tip with a grey one I had from my note 10 plus and it's so much better. Film protectors are softer so the black tips have alot of drag.

I try not to be an angry person but when Customer Reps give out false info it really bothers me.

I wish I could get a job that paid for lying to my clients.

'Sure you can deduct your new home purchase from you tax return! The IRS won't mind.'

:)

You can't really blame the reps. They probably get a few days training, an intranet, and get thrown to the wolves. All at high stress, getting yelled at all day by both customers and supervisors, and very little pay. And I do mean very little pay. I complain all the time about how bad Samsung customer service is, but it's not the reps' fault. It's Samsung's. I've done phone support before. It's one of the worst jobs I ever had.

Read Post Number 12 from 'BigMosley' - download the Galaxy Note 20/Note 20 Ultra Owner's Manual from the Samsung Web site, then go to Page 41. There's a diagram showing you how to change tips on the S-Pen of your Note 20/Ultra!!! I have the Manual as well and he is correct - I had posted earlier somewhere too!

I had already pulled mine out and compared it with the note 10 tips. The blacks ones felt exactly the same and has the same stiffness as far as I could tell.

On another note, when I had an HP convertible tablet with stylus, it used the wacom digitizer. The tips for the hp pen were the same as with the wacom tablet pens. Lucky for me, my gf at the time was at artist in the video game industry so she had a wacom tablet which had a variety of different pen tips. One in particular was kind of rubberized and had a very nice feel to it as I wrote. This was on a matte screen though so I'm not sure it could ever be reflected on these glass screens, but having some 7 different tip types was nice. Wish someone would come up with better options for the Note phones as well.
