Android Central Question

So, I'm confused. A few websites I've visited say that the Note 20 Ultra only does 25 watt fast charging, but then a few others say it does 45. And Marques said it does 45, but that doesn't match what I've read elsewhere. Anyone know for certain?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this to the Note20 forum for more specific traffic.

Even if it did support fast charging it wouldn't make big difference except at the low end of the charge cycle. Charging it from zero the gain is about 6 to 8 minute difference with 45 watts on the S20 Ultra.

Most reviews don't care about smaller details like this. They care about shiny shots of the phone and presentation. According to Samsung it only supports upto 25W fast charging so I'll go with that. Personally I don't care about about how fast it charges, never been a criteria for me.

Same here. I put it on the wired charger in the morning as I am getting ready, and as soon as I'm done, I'm usually anywhere from 95-100%.
Later on like to try the 15w wireless charger , i have older version of Samsung 2018 .

Yeah, I am thinking about upgrading a few of my wireless chargers to that too. The last wireless charging pad I got was part of the Note8 accessory bundle from BestBuy. Its the brown one that flips upright or lays flat. I believe its only 9W.

I always upgrade my accessory years later for some reason they not priority.

Part of me says that 25w is totally fine - it's already so quick. The other part of me is hoping that 45w also works for the people that spent so much money on the 45w charger. lol

If it doesn't work, I wonder if it will charge it at 25w by default? At least then it'll be like having an extra 25w charger.

I'm pretty positive it will. If the Note 20 Ultra can only draw 25w, then that is what it'll do with a 45w charger. It'll only draw what it can.

I'm happy with the 25 watt charger on the Note 10+ and to be fair I very rarely need the fast charge, that may change on the Note 20 ultra looking at some of the battery tests. I am currently testing the Huawei Mate XS and the charge on that thing is insane 55w charge!

I haven't seen more than 34w from the so-called 45w charger when testing it with my Note 10 plus 5G
Of course I would like 120w fast charging but 25w works well enough that I never have *low power panic*
Even charging overnight on the wireless I have disabled fast charge.

120watt charging would kill the battery
