Note 20 Ultra fast charging

120watt charging would kill the battery
I think devices that do 120W have split batteries in them that charge simultaneously at like 60W or something. If I could get that fast of charging I'd get it. Just would replace the battery every year. It only costs like a hundred bucks to do so.

So the 45w works ?
Yes, mine says super fast charging when connected to the 45 W charger with the correct type of cable. I think they ommitted it in the advertising because when the note 10 came out with it , most of the aftermarkwt cables couldnt support it so they probably had a lot of complaints from userw using the wrong cables and just left it out of advertising to avoid that again. Who knows. Definitely faster on the 45 watt tho.

Thanks , I see the option to toggle on , but don't have a 45w charger Screenshot_20200820-044334_Device%20care.jpg

Anybody’s got a 45w to compare with 25w to see if it does work?

I have both but have not tried the 25W charger yet, but the 25W in the box does say Super Fast Charging as well on it, my phone is currently fully charged but I'll let it go down low and measure the Watts when charging next time on the 45W

Even 60W is too high depending on the battery size and it's not something I'd leave unattended from a safety perspective.

All the recent chargers say super fast

I will test it a little later, I forgot the factory charger at the office last night. LOL

It does charge fast on the 45W however.

When your phone charges to 100% from 0 in 20 min, it would be pretty easy to watch it, if you so chose. The safety of it doesn't worry me so I'd have no problem leaving it unattended, personally. They wouldn't sell it to the masses if it was a high risk because it would make them liable. I'm all about the bleeding edge though. I can understand people being fine with what's offered currently. I suspect Samsung would be pushing the limits of speed if it weren't for what happened with the Note 7. They'll likely always play it extra safe in that respect lol.

Buddy said he put his phone on the Samsung charging pad.
It only charged 50% charging it all nite.
Wow.

My Hawk Watt measure thing is banjaxed so I can't get a precise reading today...

Samsung is not the only one that limits high speed charging. Exceeding the C rate of charge which is based on battery size is unsafe. I've seen what can happen with these batteries first hand on numerous occasions. In any event, it's irrelevant to the current topic which is Note 20 fast charging and I don't want to turn this thread into another discussion about batteries and high speed charging.

No they don't.

First pic, is using 45 Watt, checked via ampere. It is hitting 45 watts. Second is with 25 watt also verified with Ampere, it says fast charging on 25W. Note the slight time difference. Screenshot_20200820-134340.jpegScreenshot_20200820-134412.jpeg

Yes they do. My response was to a post discussing the charging brick saying Super Fast charging. The last couple of releases, the bricks all say Super Fast regardless of 25 or 45 watt.

I don't have the Samsung 45 watt charger, but I do have the Elecjet battery and it also shows super fast charging when plugged in.
