Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

Just received the shipment email with tracking info. Delivery scheduled for Wednesday. For those of you still waiting on shipping labels, sit tight.

Ordered the Black Note 20 Ultra 128GB yesterday and FedEx app says shipping label created and should arrive Wednesday by 8:00pm. Excited. I'm switching from iphone 11 Pro Max. Got the $200 credit, and bought a dual charger and two cases. Trading in a Pixel 3 I haven't used in a long time for $400 (really good amount for that). I'm going to stay with Android for the next year at least. I go back and forth.

finally got a shipping label for Wednesday. but my shipment is only 1 lb. is that just my trade in box as i thought the phone shipment box was usually around 2 lbs?

Happy for everyone who have movement. My Samsung ordered moved to CANCEL. Samsung claims Verizon did not give authorization. Verizon stated they never received an upgrade or add line request. I have to start over on the wait. Feel like the bad kid that was sent to the end of the line even though the other kid in front of me was the reason for the disturbance. Smh. I just wasted 4 hours of life between 5 reps on the phone and chat online.. I need a group hug. #Noteaholic2020gotmegood

Nooooo! So very sorry, but I'm glad you were able to get a new order in! Big Big Hug!

When they’re charging $1300 there is. I mean they could titanium too. Also I disagree about the micro scratches I just looked at my 11 pro Max and it’s in great condition almost a year later.

Sʌᴍsᴜɴɢ is just being cheap in their materials but still charging premium prices.

On the silver model iphone, under normal use, yes, it absolutely shows micro-scratches unless you've never had it outside its case. I don't need to point you to the numerous sites and videos. You can look them up.

Also, Apple charges the same price. Why didn't they give me man made sapphire on my iphone XS Max?! I should be outraged!

Or what about the lack of 120hz screen? What about an SD card reader? What about a stylus?

These types of arguments make no sense. Miss us with the bullcrap.

Ok so now you’re going to bring in sapphire something that has only been on one to two phones. The sapphire thing is moot as it’s pretty impractical to have on a device the size of a phone.

 doesn’t charge the same price. The 11 Pro Max starts at $1099 and the ultra starts at $1299.

Yeah I’m not going to lie it’s bull that the iPhones won’t have 120 hz and I’m pretty mad about that but what about Sʌᴍsᴜɴɢ again gimping the 120hz on the Ultra and the SD card argument is moot (I mean come on Google doesn’t even do that anymore)

If you’re going to use that analogy I’d say yes as well automakers have definitely gotten cheap using plastic parts and still charging a hefty premium.

Well now you have just twisted it to fit your argument. I wasn't asking about the plastic parts on cars because that infuriates me when those parts are used in places that heat cycle. I was asking do you in someway consider aluminum to be an inferior metal than stainless steel? My contention is that the aluminum rails on the phone are structurally sound enough for everyday use and is lighter than stainless steel. So there is no real downside the way I see it. If the use of aluminum was causing these phones to bend under pressure then I'd say they need to consider other materials, but as it stands the aluminum is able to do the job without any sacrifice.

It's fun watching the discussion on this thread. I am not with yall on this one so not as aggravating as in years past. Last year with Samsung.com, it "seemed" as those pre-ordering first got theirs after those who pre-ordered near the end. I ordered my Note 10+ at the last minute and got mine before some who ordered on the first day. We couldn't figure out the rhyme or reason for the way they went out. Anyway I think our thread went over 5000 post last year and this one is doing pretty good. Enjoy yourselves!

I did have one prior to the email, but it was cancelled on 8/11. Was wondering what was going on behind the scenes with Samsung and FedEx. Wednesday shipment is only 1lb, but requires signature.

Not me. Very disappointed Samsung appears to have dropped the ball on 512gb version. Ordered day 3 and still shows as backordered and Sept 1 or week of Aug 29 (on site and on app respectively)
I hope your experience is nothing like mine was for the pre order of the Note 9. I pre ordered 2 days after pre orders started. I ended up getting the phone almost 5 weeks after launch day

Meh pre ordered every Samsung the first day of pre order and never had any issues receiving in the first batch. There are some unfortunate orders sure but most of the issues are generally blown out of proportion. There are lots of combinations, carrier vs unlocked vs storage option vs color vs payment declined, could be anything. Generally Samsung does just fine handling pre orders IMO minus the screw up here and there just like any other company.

Yes I also did this last year with a Galaxy S9. They are picky but only when it comes to cracked screens or broken glass. Dead pixels would fall under "normal wear and tear" I believe and shouldn't be a fault of your own but I always try to get a really good looking phone for trade ins just to ensure no issues.

Can you verify what you mean. Are they picky because it's cracked?

Right now I have a trade in that has a cracked screen and a few dead spots like a cm across

They will reduce the amount the quote you if you didn't mention crack screen .

This was the email they sent me after they emailed the tracking numbers and sent the Note 20 ultra Screenshot_20200817-210350_Gmail.jpeg
