Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

My guess...

2nd gen FPS with the 17% larger contact patch for 2FA... Two Finger Authentication.

QHD display with 120 finally at max resolution.

Front facing camera now under glass... and if so maybe the second camera to bring back secure face/retina ID.

256gb base storage!

Rear cameras... 150mp sensor!

Of course next step up SD processor.

Pretty good updates I think. But I'll be hanging on to my Note 20U :)

Year to year are usually incremental.

You can try the following referral code: ref-dbw4xg

Note that this only works for first time orders. So you could try creating a new account with a different email if you already have an existing account with previous orders!

Because you dont get the $725 buyback with the $650 trade in option. View attachment 323455

But the buy back guaranteed amount is only 75 more. And you get 150 less on the current trade in (Note 10+). And it assumes they won't give you 725 for the phone next year anyways. Unless I'm missing something, I just don't see the value in this...

You get better financing options with lower monthly payments, so if you upgrade yearly you are out less out of pocket. The guaranteed buyback price also guarantees you will not have to come out of pocket for the phone. You have no way of knowing what programs or trade in values they will offer next year. They may decide they aren't making enough profit giving that much off every flagship as more people are going through them now then their carriers due to the bonuses and discounts. They just scrapped their galaxy upgrade program for this. So who knows what they will do. Personally having a guaranteed trade in value is a nice plus.

I preordered through AT&T. $1,000 credit towards the Note 20.

I checked the website and a 512gb Note 20 Ultra with Next Up is $20/month. I was paying $33/month for the Note 9

Yeah, honestly I am cringing a little wondering how well it will work. I have a hard time with FPS... even on non mobile devices and really high spec ones like in gov't buildings. Note 8 has been off and on and I find myself having to relearn it a few times a year as the season changes my skin changes (like getting very dry during a season). We'll have to see.

I'd have like that this iteration. This one can be iffy.

Man the wait for a new phone is looooong especially when cases come in. I spend more on cases while waiting lol !!!!!!

Still very very early in the game lol I remember preordering the Note9 in 512gb it took like almost 2 months to get the phone because it was backordered. A guy at work had his 128gb Note9 for like a month before I got mine lol

I really hate the carrier upgrade monthly credit crap. For someone like me that upgrades every year. Just give me the discount and lock me in for 2 years I am fine with that.

OMGGggg remember that?? The 512gb took forever I remember and the stupid thing was I only had the 128gb one but I didn't get mine until the 512s started shipping like around October. I was so angry - took 2 months.

I've heard, including from one close friend who had the Unlocked Note10, that are occasionally slight issues with the Unlocked variant vs. T-Mobile's.

Thanks !!! I just go by my experience and have had zero issues with unlocked models for years on T-Mobile. All carrier features work fine for me though I’m not that particular for any of them. All the signal strength arguments of unlocked vs T-Mobile I don’t buy. In my day to day to use never had any issues on my multiple different unlocked phones on T-Mobile irrespective of few things which may or may not work better on carrier models. And yeah I use Duo or WhatsApp or messenger and never going to use any carrier app other than the my account app for checking bill if needed.

Moreover even if the carrier versions are handed over to me for free with no restrictions still not going to use them. I hate them that much

Also that Samsung support response looks for N10, S10? Not sure if it still applies to S20 and above. As mentioned there wasn't anything noticeable to me on any of the previous US unlocked phones and I have had every one of them (yeah bad hobby )

Maaannnn listen! I had like 8 cases for the Note8! Slickdeals was sending codes left and right for like $2 and change! I only bought 1 for the N9, but went a tiny bit crazy on the 10+. I think I had about 5, but I only used 2. I sold the ones I got from Samsung credits and the review units. This time I have 2; the Ringke I use every year and an ESR. I'm not buying not 1 more. *this message will self destruct in 24 hours cuz I'm prolly buying more*

So if you bought from Samsung in the past it won't work?

Not sure how you're coming to that conclusion. With trade in, you get 650, so you finance 650 for 36 months at $18.05. if you trade in at 12 months and get 50% trade in value, you still owe 433.40. With the buy back program, you get 500 on trade so you finance 800 at 40 months at 20 per month. If you upgrade at 12 months you get 650 trade in value and you still owe 560. You come out of pocket either way. But you start off $150 behind with the buy back program as you don't get as much for your current phone, you get higher payments, and her more at the end. I still don't get where anyone stands to benefit. Last year's upgrade program was fine as the payment plan was the same, and you don't have to click the link to use it when it becomes available. At best, it might come in handy if you trade in closer to the 20 month mark, but then it assumes the phone value will drop by 150 from 12 to 20 months (and that's just to break even) It's a little unclear to me what happens beyond 20 months, but if you're only planning to upgrade to a note phone you trade in at about 12 months or at about 24 months (assuming the next 2 iterations fall close to the same launch dates).
