Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

I currently have the tmobile note 9, should I wait for the note 21ultra or do you think 20U is worth upgrading to?(I feel like there isnt a Hugh gap in overall performance and features besides 5g. So is 5g alone worth upgrading to? )

Those that ordered in UK does yours say buds live will be delivered on 21st? Thought had to redeem these to get them? As order page says 21st August

Well if you don't think there is a big difference between the 9 and 20 ultra, which I think there is between the 2, then stay where you're at. Moving for 5G right now is no reason to change, 5G is nowhere close to being a good reason to move, there's a long ways from being decent. It's very sparse and will be for awhile. Although,I think T MOBILE is leading the path, Verizon is trailing IMO, but that's nothing new with Verizon.

Apparently my Note 20 Ultra will be here on August 11th...

Hope I am wrong but I just don't see this happening by Aug 11th, this shipping has only been created , as it the past that can be a number of things but it could mean the shipping invoice has been printed, or as last year they fill them then they sit till closer to the "Delivery" date.

I seem to remember that you will not. I have no idea. I do know you have to use it all at one time or lose the portion you didn't use
When I talked to Samsung on laing day, a supervisor told me that if you don't use the credit at Ali, you loose it, but if you use part of our, the balance stays on your account for cutie purchases. I haven't seen that in writing though.

Quick question:

If I preorder the Buds Live as part of my promotional gift and cancel them, will I be ‘refunded’ that amount back?

I do that generally from Amazon, if amazon was offering some bundle, then you can return some of the bundle items and you’ll get refunded for that. I have done multiple times from Amazon but unfortunately for Note 20 they don’t have currently any bundle offers from Amazon. If you want to go this route then i would wait for some bundle offer from Amazon (they will eventually).

From Samsung you can’t return promotional gift and get refunded for the item itself as far as i know.

I wouldn't worry about that telesales, you will be able to use the Note 20 on whichever line you want. Just swap the SIM and you are good to go. If you got any offers by adding a line or something like that just you have to keep that line active and not dependent on what phone you use on which line.
I called back and you are correct. I can move the phone to another line. To keep the promo discount credits I have to keep the new line and a smart phone on the new line for the 24 months, which I'm fine with I shut a line down that doesn't get used that much.

I believe the opposite is true unless things have changed.

It is true that the remainder of the instant credit is only good on your preorder purchase. If you don't use it then it is gone. It will warn you of that when you go to check out.
Also, when I accidentally cancelled my preorder and ordered again, the $200 credit was there, no problem. Just make sure you use the link in your email from Samsung.

It's in the fine print

I just canceled my Ultra 512 GB for a 3rd time and did the order again because now it was letting me select the $200 gifts now as opposed to waiting for the coupon. For some reason it was only letting me get the $150 now but if I saved for later it gave me the $200. So this should be the last time now that I got the $200 worth of gifts now, the 10% off was immediately reissued plus the 10% ebates. Delivery date still was the 21st so that didn't change either.

Cool .... In general Verizon or any carrier doesn’t care what phone you use or on which line. All they care is you are paying for them monthly for all the lines and device payments if you have any. They don’t care where those phones are used.

I thought that, but you know Verizon, 3 different reps,3 different answers

Yes...correct....I cancelled a few times and always received the 200 credit. Once though it only canceled the device and left the accessories in the order which prevented me from ordering until I cancelled accessories.

Hello,

I'm new here and just wanted to share that I just pre-ordered using the tricks shared in this thread. I used a 5% off referral code, 10% cashback through Rakuten, and 10% off after requesting cancellation. Im trading in my Note 8 for $250 so after taxes I will be paying around $880. This is about $300 more than what I paid for my Note 8 using similar promotions, but I got the buds live and a case and will be returning a pair of buds + I recently purchased so this will offset the cost. I previously had the Note 4 and Note 5 so I'm a loyal consumer and looking at other options such as the S20+ or One Plus 8 Pro, which is currently sold out, this seems like a good deal given the market.

I had to do two orders and received the cancellation offer both times using Best Buy so perhaps it depends on which competitor you select?

I still enjoy my Note 8 so im really excited to upgrade!

Thank you everyone for sharing your pre-order experience and tips.

There's another trick you can do to knock the price down. Go find a Note 9 or S10 in good shape with a good ESN for about $300 and trade that in instead of your Note 8, Sammy will give you $550 for the Note 9 so that's another $250 in savings.
