Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

Just got a notification for my package being delivered tomorrow from UPS. It was Origin scanned at the airport. Looks like I will go ahead and put in some PTO for tomorrow and leave a few hours early

You're gonna use PTO though?? 😂 😂 We tech nerds are definitely a different breed!

Meh pre ordered every Samsung the first day of pre order and never had any issues receiving in the first batch. There are some unfortunate orders sure but most of the issues are generally blown out of proportion. There are lots of combinations, carrier vs unlocked vs storage option vs color vs payment declined, could be anything. Generally Samsung does just fine handling pre orders IMO minus the screw up here and there just like any other company.

I agree. I had issues ordering from Verizon, but I've been ordering directly from Samsung beginning with the Note 8 and it has always gone smoothly.

My 'Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program' & 'Samsung - Shipping Confirmation' emails both landed in my spam folder. :(

But oh, let it be a Viagra email, boom, right to the inbox.

With the samsung trade-in program, are we suppose to receive packaging to send our phones back in?

Use the same shipping box, print out the shipping label from the email Samsung sent you. Just make sure you wrap that phone and shouldn't be dancing around in the box during shipment. Within Samsung email, they'll tell you exactly what to do.

As @TheMiz suggested, I think we reuse the box the new Note was shipped in.

Here are the instructions: (It just mentions 'Shipping Box')

Step 1 - Pack your trade-in
Wrap the device with plenty of packing material such as recycled or reused paper, bubble wrap, or foam.

Step 2 - Place the device in the center of the shipping box
Cushion the device on all sides to prevent shifting that could damage the device in transit. Remove and place the lower half of the shipping label, provided via email, inside the box to ensure your order is processed correctly.

Step 3 - Seal the box
Use clear packing tape to seal all open edges on the shipping box.

Step 4 - Attach your pre-paid shipping label
Your shipping label is attached to your trade-in welcome email. Please tape all four sides of the label with clear packing tape to the outside of the box. Remember to remove or cover any old shipping labels.

Step 5 - Drop the box at a FedEx Ship Center
Please take the package to a FedEx Ship Center and hand it to a representative. Do not drop the package in a FedEx box because we will not be able to confirm your shipment.

Movement on my orders. One is a case and one is the phone... The accessories are moving but the phone is not.

Phone was picked up this morning and taken to the warehouse. Since then no movement. Likely won't get on a plane until tomorrow. Why couldn't they give an overnight option like in the past? We pay big bucks but Sammy can't give us overnight? In the past they also gave an option for paying a few dollars more to ship overnight. Glad I'll get it this week because it's looking more likely we might have a hurricane to deal with somewhere on the east coast early next week. Actually some of the forecast models hinting at a Irma like path. Remember that with me and the Note 8?

I'm lucky the Fedex hub is just a mile down the road, easy drive.

Agreed about overnight shipping. And I'm confused. why would some phones have movement (all phones are leaving the same facility I'm assuming) while others are sitting waiting to leave today? Is this a normal procedure when it comes to shipping?

Nothing like a new device to make one remember some of features of the retiring device.

Don't wanna be a Debbie downer, but Samsung could have a hold on deliveries until the 19th. I'm not saying they do, or it won't come tomorrow, but I've had phones ship early and be "out for delivery" only for it to end back up at the warehouse b/c it was held by shipper's request.
If that happens I'd be fine with it. I just hope they would reschedule the shipping early .With my luck they won't reschedule it until after 5.

I'm in a dilemma because I'd need a few hours of sleep before 4pm for work, but I also don't want to miss ups in case they actually do deliver. * Shrugs*

Blues Fan: I was just wondering the other day about you, and your pre-order hurricane issues. You are gonna have to quit doing these Note pre-orders! LOL They seem to attract these storms..

I sold the S6 a few weeks ago to beat the price drop and my Note is my tablet and it is killing me.... Lol

I keep checking swappa for a good used tab to hold me over for a bit.

Tab A 10.1 2019 version just got Android 10 last month, it is a very decent tablet for under 200 and you can always use it as a smart things controller etc. after you get the newer one later.
It's quite sturdy built as well so not bad for kids or drunken guests

And in other news my tab S7 plus is available to collect from my local post office. So tab S7 plus today and note ultra and buds tomorrow and maybe galaxy watch on Thursday or friday
