Sometimes no and yes depends.I see this only on white, light or pastel screens. When I take a screenshot and look at it on a PC or Mac screen the shadow is not there.
If this was a defect with the display would it show up on the screenshots also?
Pull it off before it's too late to send it back and reorder. I know it sucks but not near as bad as finding out later and being stuck.Yea, it's not the very edges of the display, it's like the top of the moon peeking over the horizon.
It's a shadow that goes right up to the tip of those arrows.
I hate to rip this Whitestone off only to find out it was causing the problem. :'( Only have 14 days for an exchange though.

Nice glad to hear thisOkay, I removed the WSD this morning and thank God it was the glass causing this problem and not a display defect.
I'm going to order some cheap LK's from Amazon and try one of those before putting on my last dome glass.
Here is a picture of the removed glass and you can clearly see the area I was talking about.

Wow, I'm surprised WSD did that. For $65US, which is leaps more expensive than everything else, I would expect optical clarity to be flawless. You know, like those sunglasses that are marketed to give you nearly x-ray vision.Nice glad to hear this![]()
I think the blue light cut might give it that effectWow, I'm surprised WSD did that. For $65US, which is leaps more expensive than everything else, I would expect optical clarity to be flawless. You know, like those sunglasses that are marketed to give you nearly x-ray vision.

Possibly, or maybe there was more adhesive under that area.I think the blue light cut might give it that effect
Possible but they give enough just for that application , but who knows!Possibly, or maybe there was more adhesive under that area.
A defective screen won't show on a screen shot either because a screenshot is a software image. It could be the WSD lifted in that spot causing an air gap. When I take a screen shot and look at the picture on a computer it's not showing on the screen shot. This makes me think it has something to do with the WSD.
A screenshot is software driven so a defective screen won't showSometimes no and yes depends.
It happens if the glass gets lifted slighy. Usually when installing or removing a case that's a bit on the tight side or not as protector friendly.Wow, I'm surprised WSD did that. From your pictures it looked very similar to the air separation in the glue that I have experienced in the past usually along the edges or corners. This WSD was down/installed 100% perfect, no lifting, no air bubbles and no signs of that shadow except on white screens.
I only removed it as I was worried that my display may have been defective.
