Note 3 and text messages.

I absolutely love my new watch and feel that I've conquered the learning curve except for one little thing.

When I receive a text notification on my watch I can't for the life of me open it to read it. The only option my watch gives me is to swipe it away.

I'm currently using the standard samsung messenger and have a sneaking suspicion that that could be the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this?

My experience is based on a couple months ago when I had it with my Note 3. I could read the message but, it would only allow certain lines of text to appear even after I scrolled up. Also, if there were multiple texts sent before I could read any of them, I was not able to view them. Also, if something was sent from an Iphone it would not allow me to read them especially if it was a group text.

I tried several messaging apps (Hangout, Go SMS, etc..) and none seemed to work except for the stock messaging app. Each of the other messaging apps had their quirks and limitations.

Well that's strange.

At least you were able to read yours, I only get a notification that can be swiped away. It looks like I'll have do a little more research and try to figure out why I can't even open it. See if that you can read yours tells me I have a setting either checked or unchecked somewhere.

I'm an extreme creature of habit and really don't want to have to resort to using an alternative messenger service.

Download and use Google Messenger and the latest Gmail 5.0 app that supports all email including Exchange email. All texts and email are easilly readable with individual cards for each message. Disable the stock apps. The stock apps on Samsung are terrible for anything other than Samsung smartwatches!

Note 3 native msg app has know problems. See link below for my problems. I use the app 8sms and it has solved all my problems. Works like it's supposed to and can reply from watch.
