Hey y'all:

I currently using an old Droid 2 Global and am seriously considering the Note 3 as a replacement. I do a lot of international traveling and want to know hoe the Note 3 has performed so far. I understand from Verizon Global Customer Support that the LTE does not work overseas but instead drops to 3G. Can anyone confirm this?
Has Verizon's reputation for bloatware improved any?
Finally, Is there a compelling reason to root in a don't care about skins?
Thanks.
BTW, Merry Christmas everyone!

I the phone is factory sim unlocked. If it is in lte mode, it would not automatically switch to gsm 4g/3g/2g,though you can manually switch it. Though kind of pointless as you won't get 4g outside of Verizon, att and tmobile anyway.

Other than that, in global mode, it would work fine as it is quad band gsm. Whether or not you get 3g/4g depends on the bands the network that you are on is using. This is what the note 3 supports

LTE, CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz)
LTE B13/4 700/1700
Global Network: EDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900), HSPA/UMTS(850/900/1900/2100)

Is there any way to unlock the LTE bands 3, 7 and 20?

There is nothing to unlock as the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is factory sim unlocked. every band that it is capable of is sim unlocked. It only has bands 4 and 13 lte , if you need other bands then you are out of luck. The bands you are asking about aren't supported on any US spec Note 3(Verizon, att, tmobile, Sprint) . There are other Verizon phones that are factory sim unlocked that support the bands you mentioned though.
