Note 3 Kitkat and contacts issue

Hello people,

So i decided to install the Poland 4.4.2 on my N9005 note3. I had some problems but I was able to fix but now i'm stuck with this one. In my contacts the alphabet on the right side, it appear to have an issue that I don't know how to fix " Look at the picture". I tried to clear the data/catch but it doesn't seems it can fix it. Any idea would be appreciate it

Deleted all of my contacts and still shows the same thing. Same problem on my S4 with 4.4.2.

That's because it's not a problem... Usually they do that to truncate letters that are not in use or don't have much names in there...

I don't think so.

I have 11 names that start with M and 1 with L,so it should show it. Also I deleted all the contacts and it behaved the same way.

Are the Contacts still viewable? If not could they be in sim or phone contacts and not showing up?

Yes they are. It even enlarge the letter M and L when i point my finger on the dot between K and N.

LOL.. I noticed this issue after reading this post. I have the L & M missing too. I am running Android 4.4.2 on Singtel (Singapore)

Even i have the same problem. I have more than 20 contacts in L and around 30 in M. still it is not showing L and M in the list.
Nice observation though .
I'm running android 4.4.2 on Maxis Malaysia.

Same issue running polish Kitkat haven't tried others yet. There are a few out now, Netherlands seems to be best

Well that's an odd thing to add to kit Kat. Maybe it's because it is the middle of the alphabet or something... I dunno... Have you tried changing any of the settings for contacts and see if it changes.

Maybe Koreans don't use a L And M in their alphabet and forgot that others do

Same here. I noticed this when my software updated to 4.4.2. Now it's driving me crazy. Did anyone come up with solution? (same letters missing)

Ok.. I got another update last night from Samsung/Singtel. It was a small 40mb update and the only thing mentioned in change log was "Stability improvement". I will monitor this now and see if life is back to normal.

Update 1. Yoohoo, my Contacts showing the missing L & M. The bug has been quietly removed.
