Note 3 or Lgg2. . . I know not again

IMO the G2 is a much better option. The G2 has a better camera (sometimes even considered the best on an Android phone), and while its battery is smaller (3000 mAh vs 3200 mAh on the Note 3), it lasts longer because of a smaller screen. Yes, the Note 3 has an extra gigabyte of RAM, but most if not all of that will likely be taken up by TouchWiz. And while the G2 has a smaller screen, the actual quality is nicer. And IMO the software buttons are a big plus on the G2. If the S Pen functionality or the large screen of the Note 3 appeal to you, go for it, but otherwise, the G2 is a better all-around option.

Well said and absolutely true.

For me it was the Note 3. And that's saying something since I've been a Nexus user for awhile. Considered the N5 but wanted a better battery and even though I hate, hate Touchwiz, I still opted for the Note 3. I am happy that I did. I have had zero issues myself. Home button is solid, no issues with any of the hardware either. It picks up way less fingerprints than my Nexus 4 did and that was a pleasant surprise. And the amount of accessories available for the Note 3 is nice. The G2 is decent too but my opinion is that the Nexus 5 is a better bargain other than the bigger battery & better camera. I also hate the back button on the G2. It's a poor decision like the glass back of my old Nexus 4. When I set my Note 3 down, it's with the back down so I like it to be mostly flush and not sticking up like the G2.

Again, it's a personal decision but I was surprised that I like the Note 3 as much as I do. My previous phones were Nexus or HTC and this is the first time I've chosen a Samsung phone. It's much easier to handle than I though it would be, given it's size. I do have large hands though but it still is a breeze to use regardless of your hand size. I like the removable battery and SD card and I've actually been using the S-Pen a bit, which I didn't think I would be doing (though the phone works perfectly fine without it). If you're really worried about durability remember you can always get insurance and the manufacturer has a one year warranty on the phone included. Good luck with whichever one you choose. We all support Android here so we're happy your decision is between two Android phones. :)

Why are 5 LG G2 owners perusing the note 3 forum so much? And you can't compare any phone to the moto x or nexus 5. Google sells their hardware at no margin on purpose.

My main thing was everyone saying the cheap plastic bezels are a turnoff on the N3 while on the g2 it has 0 premium components not even faux leather.

The g2 battery may be a little bit better because the screen is smaller, and with the lower cpu clock speed in site battery is improved also. with the less overall features and functions you probably won't use it as much and the battery will last longer. On my N3 I could just switch out the battery though.
And my sd card too.

To keep uniformed g2 bashers in check :D that's why. Lower cpu clock speed? That's a new one to me.

2.26 vs 2.3. No real difference especially considering how much of a hog touchwiz is. G2 is the faster device, with better battery life and higher ppi.

Hi
I am a newbie and have narrowed my next phone to either the Note3 or the LGG2. I know all the pros and cons for each, have studied this for two months, but I am still undecided. Each time I think I have reached a decision, I will read or see something that makes me unsure. For example, I was just about to decide for the LG but then I keep hearing about the screen scrolling issues about the phone. Then when I was sure I was going to get the Note 3, I read about the Wi-Fi, charging, etc., issues. I realize that each phone will have issues, I? m just trying to figure out which one may have less and will hold up best since I have to live with it for two years. Anyone willing to add some more thoughts on one phone over the other? I have posted this here and also on the Lg page of the forum. I need to decide by the end of December.
Thanks so much
Techie5

Ha, by the end of December, there will be more phones in the pot.. :D

None of these phones are perfect, so, you have to pick the one the suits you the best. That might not be the one somebody or me recommends for you.. For the simple reason, you are not us!!!
For me, the removable battery and sd card support was a biggee. Everybody is pushing clear, large screens, touch air/whiz or something.. So, it boils down to what fits you...And by the end of December..Ha..

When I had a Note 3 I was really surprised at how little free RAM I always ended up with. I dremt and thought having 3GB of RAM would be the end of me ever having to worry about RAM management. WRONG. They put 3GB in there because the phone actually needs that much not because you're gonna have some extra waiting around for you to bend to your submission.

Because the wish they had a note 3

Rockin my Note 3
Wrong. I had one. ...and a nice enough device it was but I tired of the TouchWiz. ...wanted to try LG and am very glad that I did. However, I still like discussing top-end phones I've had...of which the Note 3 is one.

Oh Lord. Learn how to have fun. Don't take everything so serious.

Clock speed doesn't make much of a difference when the difference is so marginal (only 40 Mhz in this case). For example, the One outperformed the GS4 with a lower clock speed (and that was a difference of 200 Mhz; five times as much).

I agree with the first two, but the ppi doesn't make a difference when it's already that high. 424 vs 386? Once you pass about 350 ppi, the difference is negligible (I don't even find much of a difference above 300).
