Note 3: Pen window compatible apps. Non rooted devices. Help compile!

MW-PEN app enabler crashes when processing some apps (google camera)and others like "Google maps engine" will open in PW after processed but doesn't function properly...the other problem is factory installed apps cannot be processed and installed(Drive).

Still a very good tool for adding compatability to more apps!

Ok this app... MW-PEN app enabler really kicks ***.
I've successfully added pw compatibility to several apps, remote desktop by google, chrome beta (chrome was always compatible), craigslist pro, the weather channel, and a few more.
One of them (craigslist pro) was even added to the penwindow menu/app drawer!!!
This is exciting because it saves the extra steps of opening internet or the play store!

So Craigslist pro adds an extra option to the PW app drawer...can anyone find any other apps that the MW-PEN Enabler app can add to it????
Thanks in advance! Screenshots_2014-04-19-22-50-32.jpg

Re: Pen window compatible apps. Non rooted devices. Help compile!

Here's something I can't figure out...

Open the pen window and edit the list of apps. You see a message on screen saying 'Drag and drop apps into or out of the pen window to add or remove them'. How???? The pen window is the only thing on screen I can interact with. Can anyone explain to me how I can drag any app onto this window please? It's driving me bonkers trying to figure it out.

You can only do this for the apps that are pen-window enabled, which are not many. Those apps will already be in the window by default. You remove apps by dragging them beneath the pen window when you edit. If you edit it again after that, any apps you have removed will be there beneath the pen window for you to add them by dragging them back up again.

If your want to try to enable apps that do not have native pen window support, you can try the app MW-Pen App Enabler. Make sure to read the details about having to uninstall and not being able to update normally before deciding if you want to do this with any apps. All apps are not supported so if it's not an already known working app, then you will just have to try it to find out.

Ahh, that's why!! I haven't removed any, hence the confusion. Thank you jpr.

I looked at the app this morning in the store. Being unable to update the apps wtihout uninstalling was what put me off using it. I'd lose track of apps and updates, so decided not to bother.
