Note 3 slow charging after 95%

My note charges very fast till 90%...even till 95%...but after that...it takes 40 minutes to get full to 100%....this is weird and absurd...as my note3 is just 2 months old....what could cause it?

I think that's pretty normal. As the battery approaches full charge, the current automatically drops, so that those final few percentage points take longer. See this article for a more detailed explanation: Charging Lithium-Ion Batteries – Battery University

How long does it take to charge from 40% to 100% using the stock charger and cable? That's what will determine if anything is wrong or not. ('ve never watched mine charge the last 5%, I just wait until I notice the 100% state, then leave it on the charger for another 30 minutes. (At the moment the phone first indicates 100%, the battery is actually at about 98%. That's due to the fact that the "percentage charge" is actually a measurement of the battery's terminal voltage, and since the charging voltage is higher that the fully charged battery, the indication is a bit inaccurate until the charger is disconnected for a minute or two - which is why you see these "as soon as I disconnect the charger, it says it's only 98% charged" posts. That's because it is. An extra 15 or 30 minutes makes sure the battery is topped off.)

It charges superfast untill 90...just takes approx. Hour or so...
