Yes.

It was an over all warning in general, not just to you, but to everyone in an attempt to halt what could easily have turned into something rather messy. If you have concern in a warning, please, private message me and I will attempt to further explain. The forums are not the place to publicly question it, however.

This thread has been cleaned up. Lets try not to initiate confrontations or point fingers. My over all goal is to just keep the discussion friendly.

Have two Galaxy note 3 in the house. The issue with mine is that it would not charge when the USB 3.0 cord was plug in....

Bought two Samsung Note 3 phones in last couple of weeks. Got a black one in Verizon store and a white one from Verizon online. The store bought black phone has worked fine for over 2 weeks. The online white phone arrived 2 days ago and isn't charging properly. First thing we did after opening the box was plug it in and charge it overnight after which it showed a full charge. After a few hours, the white phone was down to about 50% charge so we plugged in the OEM USB 3 charger. But, it didn't start charging. Tried both OEM USB 3 chargers. They both work fine on the black phone. Neither one works well on the white phone. If we jiggle or press slightly on the phone, the charge will start. But, it soon stops charging. It seems that the white phone is defective when it comes to charging with the OEM USB 3 charger. I opened the back and checked that the battery is securely in place. That didn't help. Worries me that 1 out of 2 brand new phones is defective. Wonder if the other one will go bad sometime soon.

Yep. Had my Note 3 just over 3 weeks & when I plug it in to charge, I get a message on the ph that says using the original charger (I am using the original) will work better for a faster charge but then it doesn't charge @ all. Left it plugged in all night & ph dead in am. I took my usb car charger cord & plugged that in to the original Samsung plug & now its charging fine. Going to the Verizon store today & to get a new usb cord.

Same issue with me and I have to agree with others who said that it is the USB 3.0 cable. It does not sit properly in the phone I have noticed. You have to push in more toward the end of the connector that is the 3.0 addition, not the standard 2.0 micro USB side. Going to bring the cable to TMobile today for a new one.

I get the same thing. Used samsungs online chat to no avail. Went to verizon and they gave me an S4 cable. Works fine but still not good. This seems to be a universal issue on the GN3

I now have it charging very s l o w on a headset mini usb charger.

• I tried the reboot (fail)
• I tried the cable from PC to Phone (fail)
• I went to AMAZON and ordered a new cable and a new adapter

Of course I wiggled and tried waving a rubber chicken.. [fail] & [fail]

I am very frustrated with my Note 3!

I'm having the same issues as a few of you - I'm using the OEM USB charger + cable and have had my phone for 3-4 months now. Recently, my phone decided to stop charging.

The icon is active when plugged in, but instead of the battery charging, the percentage decreases! The only way to charge my phone right now is either sticking it into my computer, laptop or car. I've tried using a 2.0 cable, a different 3.0 cable and as well as a different USB charger.

Would it be the hardware? I'm planning to go into my service provider to see what they can do.

This has happened to me twice now. I was able to fix it both times. The problem is that your phone is holding a static charge.

power down your phone and remove the battery.

with the battery out, hold down the power button for 30 seconds
then hold vol up for 30
then hold vol down for 30
then home for 30

for good measure i went through the process a second time.

now place the batter back in and connect it to the charger. wait about 5 minutes then power it up. I knew mine was fixed before powering it on because it wasn't vibrating every few seconds when connected to the wall.

I hope this will be as successful as it was for me. best of luck!

I am so frustrated with my Note 3 N9005. After 7 months using it, the lcd went black sometimes. Sent to the service center and they have changed my lcd into a new one. They asked me to keep my battery, back cover & stylus while there are repairing my note 3. After I received back the handphone, my stylus is keep falling out & I couldn't even charge my handphone. I've had my samsung sprint note 3 for a few months it will not charge the charging indicator is active yet it remains the same percentage using USB 3.0 or it decreases I have tried different chargers and cords

I had the exact same situation as above. Tried a total of 3 chargers and it required a bit of jiggling to get them to work. Gave up and I am using my Note 2 charger. It's ridiculous! Also, I'm very careful with my phone. No chance these were put in incorrectly.

That is a common issue in all Samsung USBs. Their USB last less than one year (maybe even less). It's a shame that they can't even make a good USB cable. That maybe a reason Samsung is always behind Apple.

I had this issue as well and I figured out what was messing my phone up which was the case. I have the ottrrbox defender and when I charged my N3 the case would push and bend the charger down and now I take the soft case off when I charge. Thankfully I noticed this before any main charging components got ruined. And no need to buy a brand new charger simply call Samsung and they'll ship one to you free..
