Note 3: Zerolemon extended battery

Yeah I get about 15 hours on a full charge with the Anker, and onscreen time is usually around 8-10 hours of moderate to heavy use.

It was great with the RAZR, since the charging port is on the top. The Note is more awkward because the port is on the bottom.

I could keep the RAZR in my shirt pocket and the charger in my jacket pocket and just quickly unhook them.

The Note has to be turned upside down and flipped when removing it from the pocket.

It's a first world problem of massive proportions <g>.

And that's added to the normal battery time.

Nice but mine is an actual replacement for the stock battery. Don't want to carry anything extra around.

I kinda thought that might be the case.

Since I wear a jacket at work, and this is left over from my RAZR time, I have no problem using it.

Here's the thing though, I don't really need to use it at work. I carried it one day when I forgot to charge up and only had like 40% going into the shift and didn't want to carry my charger in. Turns out I probably didn't need it.

Turns out that it was more trouble than it was worth. It was cool with the RAZR. If I didn't want to disconnect it, I'd simply hold it under the RAZR and it was comfortable. That won't be as much with the Note. When I'm running around before my concerts, I'll probably just hook it up when needed.

It's nice not to be tethered to a wall socket.

I agree. Hate having battery anxiety and worrying about the battery level. I think I'll stick with the Anker battery for now.

Since you already have it, I'd agree. If you didn't, it would probably be worth your while to look at the Zerolemon. A lot of people seem to like it.

Anker has great customer service as well. When I lost my adapter, they rushed me out a new one gratis. No questions asked.

OK so finally went for it and ordered the Zerolemon extended battery for my Note 3.

Can't wait for it to come. Hope I don't get sick of its weight or size. But. Now I can barely get through a 12 hr work day without charging my phone. And it has the Anker extended battery in it!

I'll definitely put a review up here and compare it to the Anker battery.

I can't get through a day without charging. Damn Ingress....

Dumb question probably, but what's Ingress?

A game. Actually fun and gets me out exercising which helps me lose weight too.

Has anyone considered a little modding exercise to get wireless charging working when using the ZeroLemon?

Quite sure it can be done, however I'm no wizard in regards to electronics, and would like a few pointers :)

I thought someone talked about this earlier in this thread? They had to do some modifications and showed some pics of it too.

Go back to the middle of this whole thread and see. I could have sworn I saw it somewhere.

Aye, someone mentioned having to mod it, but didn't find any images nor a guide :)

With a larger battery, wireless charging and it's slower rate of charging makes it less useful, I think, for fully recharging a fully depleted battery. I would imagine it taking longer than overnight to recharge a 10000 mah Zerolemon.

Except for topping off a battery, something you don't need to do very often with a big battery, I don't see that any convenience of wireless charging is worth all the extra time it it takes.

I may be in the wrong here, but I believe there are wireless chargers that will charge at 75% of normal rate.

If that's the case, then it would be useful. I agree on your points, though, however as a tinkerer, I'd love to do it. If not for anything else, then for the pure gimmick of it :)

So just got my Zerolemon in the mail. I watched a lot of YouTube videos so unassembling the case and putting it together was super easy.

I also have a tempered glass screen protector, so took off the, in my opinion, lame plastic screen protector that came with the case

I was so worried the case would make the Note 3 humongous or super heavy. I think because I went from the Anker extended battery to the Zerolemon, it was more of a gradual transition for me, versus other users who went from the stock Note 3 directly to the Zerolemon.

I had the Anker 6400 mAh extended battery with the Seidio dilex extended case, and compared to that, the Zerolemon extended battery with the case isn't that much more heavy. In fact I prefer this case and set up more. With the Seidio and Anker battery, it made the phone more bottom-heavy, for some reason. The Zerolemon seems to distribute the heft and weight better.

However the Zerolemon case is a bit bigger and bulkier than the seidio, but I don't really mind. My wife did comment "so you like turning your phone into a brick?" lol. But our note 3 is already on the big side...

As for battery life it's been commented here ad nauseum, but I'm currently on my first charge for 12 hours. It took only 2 hours to go from 60% to 100% but it's still charging. Will leave it on for the entire 12 hours.

So far very impressed and happy with the Zerolemon purchase. Hope the battery life is significant more than my Anker 6400mah. Tomorrow will be the first full test since working 12 hours. But I know it needs 5-6 complete charges before we will see the battery's true potential :)

You'll definitely enjoy it. OK your phone looks like a brick but so what? You're independent from the charger now and can even start a car with an empty battery =D

One thing is sure. I'll be getting the zerolemon first next time before I get a new device. Especially until the phone market improves their stock batteries which aren't wow anymore.

NOTE 3 - Tapatalk

Quick question it say to charge for 12 hour for the first charge. But after 3.5 hours, my note 3 says "Battery fully charged, unplug charger" and the green light is on when the charger is still plug in

Do I let it continue to charge? I guess I might as well...
