Note 3: Zerolemon extended battery

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

I got my 9300 man ZL for this Optimus G Pro yesterday. Good lord, it adds some weight! I'm trying to ignore how much weight it adds but its a challenge to overlook that. I'd imagine the 10K mah adds just as much to the Note 3. I'll have to see if the forever-lasting battery makes the carrying-an-iron-brick feeling worth it.

I guess its time to Man Up.

The bright side is that I now have an extremely effective self-defense tool always w/in reach.

Loving this battery. Was a bit of a pain getting it all together but once I did it's been great. I did take the screen protector off as I don't generally use those.

Guys I'm still waiting for my Zerolemon to come to me overseas. I really can't wait for it.

But while waiting I was looking for some tempered glasses for extra protection for falling.

Can the rugged case handle whatever brand/type of tempered glass? And what's the difference between the tempered glass and the already build in Plastic one in the rugged case?

I mean, does it make that much difference?
Why did you preferred the build in plastic one or the tempered one

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Does anybody have any idea if there are any charging docks / cradles that can accommodate the Note 3 with this Zerolemon battery & case? Preferably with USB 3.0 connectivity?

I have a feeling it's gonna be a negative on that one. I think its too specialized.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

This guy is a boutique style operation - he made a video just for me, to explain how the additional parts he didn't list on the site, (but included free in my purchase) work. The dock is sick...made from billet aluminum, powder-coated with a soft backing to protect the phone, and rubber coated sides to hold and protect it,

I would think he builds the dock to fit the Zerolemon and if it doesn't already, he could probably make it so that it does. He's a really good and easy guy to deal with. I'm buying a few more docks for my other cars from him very soon.. And by the way, the dock is rock solid and doesn't budge. There are several adjustments you make to the dock to set it up and he includes all the tools you need to do that in the kit. Once you set it up, you never have to touch it again.

If you send him a note through his site, he will respond - may take a bit of time depending on when it is sent, but it's worth the wait; I promise you. His product is unbeatable in terms of quality. Ask him all of your questions and he will answer every one of them. He's in the USA, not somewhere in China...LOL

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

"He's in the USA, not somewhere in China.." - I'd buy it just for that.

I emailed him yesterday about the possibility of using USB 3.0 in it, I've watched the videos on his site and it doesn't seem like a difficult thing to modify the cable receptacle to accommodate a 3.0 cable. It would be super rad if he could utilize the 3.0 USB and have some kind of charging indicator LED on it that would change color when charging / fully charged, blue to green or something like that. He hasn't gotten back to me as of yet.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

He would have to change the cable holder at the bottom of the dock. Not sure if he's able to do that as his parts are all made using pre-cut dies I'd bet. It may be something he's done or is in the process of doing. He will get back to you, for sure. As far as a charging indicator, don't hold your breath. The cable holder simply holds a cable. He does not really go into the electronics of it.

What is so bad about the people/businesses of China? About 99% of the Chinese women I come across are both beautiful and intelligent. Can't say I love their government but governments are governments, none seem very good nowadays.

If its anything like the ZL is for the Optimus G Pro then it adds about half a pound to the phone.

Man that's alot of weight... I'd like the battery time but the weight would be alot for a phone lol.

I'll just stick to my charger at work when I'm low I guess :).
