Note 3: Zerolemon extended battery

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

No free lunches - the ZL is a 10 amp battery. You're not getting that in a 2 oz package today - LOL

Well I know that... I'm just saying for me it would be to heavy for a phone and since I got chargers around I'm okay.

It would be nuts if it was super small and light with that capacity :).

I would pay over 150 euros for such battery!

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

So, I got mine the other day and was kind of disappointed with the fit & finish of the battery / back cover. First off the square shaped battery cover to the case had a foamy type thing glued to it that I had to tear off to even get the case to close, then the very smallest piece cracked as I was trying to push it close, the battery seems too thick for this cover as it still does not close properly, the only way i could do it was by putting on the new case that came with it to hold everything together. Also, the cover itself leaves gaping holes where the battery itself is exposed on various sides, pretty shoddy craftsmanship if you ask me, luckily it came with the case that I could use to hold everything together, kind of like having your belly sliced open but throwing on a jacket to keep all your guts from spilling onto the floor...

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Those look nice. Do you think they'd work with the Zero Lemon extended battery?

CM on OgPro

OK, so I also got this Craig's Dock thing and I can say the craftsmanship is excellent, very strong & robust and looks to have been designed well, only problem is that in it's current design it won't fit the Zerolemon Extended battery cover with the case, the cradle itself is large enough to accommodate the phone, but the position of the USB port is too far back to meet up with the charging receptacle on the phone when used with this massive battery pack, because the phone is now so thick, it moves forward in the dock a bit and the connectors don't meet up, it can be easily fixed it seems with a bit of machining to the adjustable cradle thingy which already has the proper offset so one side, it's the front / back axis that needs to be addressed. I will contact Craig in a day or so to see what he can do.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Works well with the ibolt car dock

@fkpalm - which model iBolt are you using?
Im using this one.
..really interested in the massive battery, but I dont want to invest in a new car dock on top of it.

The square black back cover with the foam is made to work with OEM batteries to keep them in place I believe. I don't use it with mine and the case fits fine.

***UPDATE*** I received the modified port block yesterday and installed it, worked like a charm! This dock is a solution for the lack of a suitable desktop docking station, it uses a modified port block from the regular Note 3 and works perfectly, if you decide to order one be sure you specify that it's for a Note 3 with the Zerolemon Extended Battery Pack & Cover and will require the modified port block for this application. You can see the modified port block in these pics against the regular Note 3 one, modified part is on the right, longer slide adjustment, front of port shaved and set screw placement was also modified.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

I snagged a Zerolemon 10,000 from eBay last night for $49 shipped. The guy had a Note 3 for a week and decided it was too big, and too much phone, so I got the deal. I'll post when I get it and have some Screenshots of battery life and usage.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Anyone heard from zero lemon regarding a TPU case? I dropped my phone and the front plastic snap on portion has a crack in the upper left area. Still holds together when in case but it bugs me. Trying to glue it now.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

No, but I'm going to contact them over a week to ask whether it's coming or not. It's a yes or no, I'm getting tired of their delay and avoiding questions

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Again it's nothing. I asked them to answer yes or no if their are coming with TPU cases.

Hi

Currently we only offer a rugged cases.

Best Regards,

Maybe they'll consider it or announce it when a bunch of customers ask it?

I'm not giving up on this before I get a real 100 percent answer

Thanks. Keep me posted.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

So is the hard plastic case the inner case? And the TPU covers the hard plastic? Can you use the TPU without the hard plastic case? Mine will be here tomorrow or Weds so I'll know, just curious.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Well the thing is we haven't got a TPU. You mean the rugged one. Without the hard plastic one it won't fit like it should.

Re: Zerolemon extended battery

Yes, that's what i was asking. :( Bummer. I have an extended TPU for a 7500, but it's probably not close to being big enough. Double bummer.
