Note 4 battery life

I get over 6 hours of SoT with 26 hours of total use

Only one time when I first got my phone, was I able to get over 5 hrs with about 23hrs standby. Mostly, I average 2-3 with 1-2 days standby.

Just now with 1 day, 9 hrs standby, I have 2 hrs 22 minutes screen time and 7 % left on the battery. This is average for my uses and I am extremely happy with it.

I had a Nexus 4 that I could never get more than an hour of screen time on with 1 day standby. Everyone's usage is different.

I really have no idea how some of you do it. I'm at 75% battery right now, with 30 min of SOT. Screen is 4th on the list, and first is Google Play Services, then Android System and then Android OS. So no "real apps." I had MUCH better battery life on my Note 2. I had fantastic battery life on my Nokia 1520 (but that was a beast of a battery and lower specs, so it's not comparable). But battery life wise, I'm not so happy with the Note 4. I've had multiple ROMs and I've disabled a ton of apps and services... Still ... 25% battery per 30 min. of SOT is TERRIBLE.

Yeah "Screen" is hardly ever #1 on the list for me though overall battery life is suffienct to get me through the day

Isn't it bad to have battery @ 1%?

Not on todays batteries. I've used my phone till it shut off, put a new battery in it, recharged the old one and life continues. No damage to the battery if you use it till it shuts down.

Actually, it is bad to drain the battery so much. It can kill the amount of charges remaining.

That's the way I have always used my phones and have never had to replace a battery or even have it degrade in any way. I'll just keep using my phone the way I always have because it works for me.

Those battery guides say one thing, my experience shows otherwise.

There is no way.

What have you turned off? This phone just won't operate normaly for that many hours.

Only turned off bloatware that's it. It is possible. I'm not the only one. Another poster just posted an even better battery life than mines in this thread. Check it out.

Something strange going on with my battery lately. I am not getting great battery life like I was. Something is running or I have something set wrong. Also lately I have been getting popups. Maybe a bad app.

the 3200 mah battery doesn't have the juice for 10-12 hours screentime. Not unless it is in Ultra Power Saving or something like that.

I'm the one that had the 12.5 hours SOT, and I assure you, I did NOT have it in any power saving mode. I did, however, have the brightness manually set to about 20%, which is bright enough for me when indoors.

I keep my screen here and I can't get more than 7 hours SOT. Also apps that run, etc can make a huge difference.

This stuff is absolute 100% nonsense. You can find so much of this crap all over the internet and then 30 seconds later find the same number of reliable sources that discredit what you just read. Use your phone how you feel comfortable and enjoy the phone. All this stress over battery conditioning and whatnot is straight out of the mind of a 90's kid who had those nickel battery operated remote control trucks.

Shoot I'm at 55% with about 2.5 hours of SOT. Just got about 25-30 minutes of that watching some battle rap on YouTube. That took me from 63% to 56%. But again, I'm pleased with the battery life. I've even stopped backing out of apps and just press the home button when I'm done. Been unplugged since before 6am this morning.

Well sir you are the only note 4 with 7hrs of SOT with an OEM battery. I don't event think Samsung itself can reproduce that. Its an anomaly

This thread is starting to get out of control. We don't need accusations and bad language. We need to remember to show each other respect.

These gentlemen( better for you NexusGirlX) are making such claims with these battery screen shots. Notice in the lollipop battery stats they post it indicates the amount actual time the battery was taken of a charger. I'm running the original unrooted ROM and I dont see that same stat in my version of the lollipop battery stats. Interesting isnt it??? I will illustrate what I mean.
