You need to zoom in to see the 4 moons. Unfortunately, Android Central must not keep the same quality of photo that I uploaded. You can only see 3 moons in the picture as the 4th one is so faint. But I can see it on the original photo.

No, the zoom on the Note 4 is not THAT good. This was as seen through a telescope.

My friend had a red filter on the scope and we could see Jupiter's bands. Pretty cool.

But I could not get the phone to focus long enough to capture the bands that I could see with my eye. I should have tried focus lock but didn't think of that till this morning.

I dropped the exposure down as much as possible to -2 and had HDR turned off. Camera was set to 16 megapixel.

Anyone else have tips for photos taken at night through a telescope? Please share.

I am really considering a Note 4. I have a Nokia 808 now, which has an amazing camera, so I really know what a good camera is on a phone.
The only thing that concerns me is the lack of Xenon flash. You just cannot take low light indoor/outdoor flash photography of anything that is moving with LED.
And I haven't seen any pictures here posted with this scenario as well, which is telling me that people aren't posting any because the quality is just not good enough.
LED is only good for object which are still. This is a big limitation for me, as I take a lot of indoor/outdoor night shots of family and friends where Xenon is critical.

Can someone take some outdoor night or indoor low light flash shots of moving people, or of objects at a little distance away? I really want to see how the Note 4 performs in this scenario.

I have yet to achieve a high level of clarity, but so far it has been a solid experience. Puts my HTC One to shame. My only concern is that it seems to struggle, however mildly, with focusing. It's picky. And I get some blurry shots even in bright daylight.

Mine might mildly struggle in focusing too but so does my Sony Alpha dSLR. ...and you sir have taken some great shots.

Give Snap Camera HDR a try, it takes a much more unprocessed shot almost RAW like. I've found the difference between stock and Snap really good especially for clarity of the image, worth a try.
