Anyone else have the screen cast option on their note 4 to screen cast? Gone on mine. Not a necessary feature but it was nice to have.

I will have to check when I get home on my Chromecast. I will report back when I can :).

Maybe an option that needs to be enabled somewhere? Not sure as I'm with Verizon and they currently hate us.

Wait.. What??? I use show box all day... If I can't cast to the TV than it's going back.. All phones can stream one way or another right, I have a Moto X that does it with no problem too.

Are you talking about Screen Mirroring or Chromecast?

Screen Mirroring should be there under Settings. It may also be in your Notification Quick Settings but I don't have a Note 4 to verify that part.

If you are talking about Chromecast screen casting, the Note 4 is not yet on the supported list.

Yes I'm referring to the screen cast option inside of the chromecast app.

That stinks. Hopefully it's short term.

Hopefully. I use it a lot.

I would suggest you guys leave feedback for Google so they know there is demand. Each device has to be individually supported, which means it has to be individually tested. This is no small endeavor. They have to triage. The Note 4 may or may not be currently in testing. If it is not yet, then letting them know enough people want it, could push up the timetable.

Numbers-wise, until this week there were 0 customers who needed this on a Note 4, but there are millions who want it in other devices. The M8 is still not supported, even though the M7 is. However the LG G3 was added to the G2 support shortly after release.

If the Note 4 is already in testing and the work they did to support the Note 3 turns out to be adequate to cover Note 4 hardware and software then it could be supported soon. However, it is not the same phone as the Note 3 and if they encounter any issues then they have to prioritize what gets fixed and supported first. The more customers with a need for it, the greater incentive for support.

Good point. Will do.

Are you talking about just "Cast Screen" (full screen mirroring) or any chromecast streaming? I have hardly used Cast Screen but I stream YouTube and Netflix once in a while through Chromecast (with my Note 3). It would suck if that is not supported.

Just "Cast Screen". Regular chromecast streaming works fine.
