Note 4 fit in Note 2 Media Dock?

I still can't believe that this dock is still $80-$99. everywhere.

This late in the game you would think it would have gone down in price.

I use the Samsung multimedia charging dock and it seems to work just fine. It's much cheaper than the smart dock, but you lose the USB and HDMI ports.

Sound out through the 3.5mm jack doesn't work with either dock though. Also the Note 4 doesn't include the desk dock app, so you won't get it with either dock. This was a major disappointment to me, and I'm thinking about going back to my Note 3 for that and other reasons.

It works with exception of sound out. I have to plug mini plug directly into phone jack for sound, otherwise it works great. Can still use monitor, mouse, and keyboard.

I have a Samsung Protection case on my N4 and it fits in the charging dock (barely). If I use Note 4 OEM charger and cable, it will still Quick Charge when using this dock. As noted, the audio out jack on it doesn't work - the Note 4 does not support audio out over the USB port (though I've heard this may change with Lollipop).

The Note 4 also works in the charging dock for the Note 2014 Edition Tablet too. This Dock is just a plain ol' charging dock but it charges the N4 just fine. (I've got the sview case on & N4 slides right on.)
