Note 4: Font not supported

So, I'm trying to download some more fonts for my Verizon Note 4 (5.1.1.), and I keep getting this error. I've downloaded ifont and other programs but they all give me the same error. Anyone have a fix for this?

Is the font a TTF? OTF fonts can't be installed. Otherwise I don't know why you are having issues. I use ifont. I have an ATT note 4.

Thanks. I'm not sure what type of font this is to be honest. I just know I used two different font apps and none of them are working properly.

Many of the fonts I have are flipfonts and they worked fine on the Note 3 as do not work on the Note 4. There is a work around. By installing iFont from the playstore. iFont can then download and install those fonts. It became annoying enough that I have stopped changing fonts since I reset my phone...

Yeah, I've tried to download ifont and I get the same error. No matter what font application I download none of them are supported.

I take it that no one knows how to solve the problem of the fonts from Google Play is now not supported? I'm thinking it is because the fonts are now only supported on the newer android phones.:'(

I am just curious, maybe try checking unknown sources in settings under security? I don't seem to be having trouble installing fonts with ifont. I will test it out and see if I can install fonts with it unchecked.

Did you upgrade to marshmellow? Because i did 4 days ago, and evidently thats an issue now. Cant download fonts from 3rd party sources even ones i used fine before the upgrade.

After spending an hour on an online chat with Samsung, I was told the issue has to do with the last update. Assured me it would be taken care of with the next update, but didn't know when that would be. Not the best news as I wanted to use different fonts NOW, but guess I can't do anything about it. It'll be interesting to see if it really does get fixed. Sorry...wish I had better news.

What the hell Google??
Im having exact same problem, i have over 100 fonts that i regularly change and now NONE of them work. I get same error message "Font not supported, do you wish to uninstall?" Its driving me crazy, ive got a bold font stuck on GoKeyboard, a handwritten font as default on my Note and the default font on GoLauncher is like a super bold Impact..i noticed this error first about mid-late May 2016? How come the update if thats whats happened has removed customization feature? Im also having a lot of apps shutting down more than usual and i noticed on Chrome (computer) that the app launcher is no longer being used and you have to bookmark chrome//apps... anyone else seen this?

I did the last update on my s6 and keep getting the same message. But had no problems before updating. Super frustrsting!!

There won't be a fix for it. It has something to do with Samsung being threatened with a copyright lawsuit. The only fonts that are supposed to work are fonts sold by Monotype Inc in the play store and Samsung store. And those are horrid looking.

No they dont. I have a note 5 . They r not supported

you should download font apps compatible with Flipfont programm in Samsung device. Recently i have found an application compatible with Flipfont program in Samsung device. I can change many fancy fonts for my phone. Just search for “Trend Font” on Google Play. It’s so fun.
