Note 4 In Stores Friday 9/26

Something the man from Best Buy showed me was the "ultra power savings mode". When it's active, it cuts way down on power hungry things like the depth of the screen color pallette and I don't know what else. You can still email and text and take phone calls. According to that setting, you could go up to 15 days on a full charge. considering what the screen looked like, I'd say it was possible.

The S5 had the feature. It works very well on my S5. Incredible feature when you're in a pinch for battery life

I went to Verizon today, they did not have a note 4 on display. I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow and see if they have them on display yet. I am in the San Francisco Bay area

reesh11 is right. The phone is still $299. You can put that GC towards the phone if you so choose.

Some posters are saying you can use the giftcard towards the purchase price of the phone and others are saying you don't receive the giftcard until after the 14 day return period after you picked up your Note 4. Guess I'll find out which it is when I go to Best Buy.

I've pre-ordered phones from Best Buy in the past and this is how it worked, I paid $50 to reserve my pre-order, at that I time I received a $50 Best Buy gift card. When the phone came in I used the GC towards the phone.

Appreciate the info but that's not the same circumstance because you have to buy the Note 4 (not just pre-order it) and trade a qualifying phone in to get the $200 rebate. I'm going to call my local BB shortly to see what they say.

Have you ever bought one outright and done this? I'm not seeing anything saying that the phone has to be activated upon purchase.

Yes. I always buy outright. But let me be clear, I'm talking about the pre-order GC Best Buy always does. This has nothing to do with the promo trade in GC others are talking about.

Right but I didn't know if the BB employees that were saying it had to be on contract were saying that because that is how it always is. I suppose I'll find out on the 17th! Less than 3 weeks now guys...

Just spoke with my local Best Buy. 1) the $200 can be used towards the Note 4 purchase price & 2) you keep your grandfathered AT&T unlimited data plan on a subsidized upgrade. So it's off to BB I am.

I played with the note 4 extensively today and i was IMPRESSED!! From the build quailty, EPIC screen, UI, camera, S-pen, responsiveness, I can go on and on, I have strayed away from samsung but the Note 4 has made me a believer once again

Has anybody been able to preorder a black one on sprint from best buy yet
Yes I just did a short while ago. The only thing was the BB rep said that if I used the 50.00 Gift card before the phone came in, that would cancel my order.
I was going to put it towards the phone anyway but good to know. He could not explain why and was about as perplexed as me that there was a policy like that.
