Even if you didn't care about the improvements of the 4 over the 3, by the time you take in to account the resale values at the end of the contract, you have to take the 4.

Depends on how money conscious you are. I think the other posters made good points. I'd add that I don't like buying older tech when a new version is already here. Resale value is one issue, but there are always some other things that happen with newer models and features. I just find if I buy the old one, then I see the new one with a feature I wanted and suddenly I'm unhappy. ;) Especially if my contract cycle means the Note 5 will be here before I'm ready to get rid of the 3 when I coulda had the 4. :)

Note 4 :
Better screen
Better camera
More premium look
Better multitasking
Improved s pen
Better battery

Whether or not these improvements are worth the extra money to you then get the Note 4. if not the Note three is still an excellent choice! Win, win as it were.

Don't forget faster processor and faster charging. The processor improves upon several elements of the phone like camera functions and gaming.

If the new features on the Note 4 won't be used nor consider essential, then the Note 3 price is extremely attractive!

Unless you're a techie person that simply wants the latest gadget with the latest features. In addition, if money is not issue then why not go for the latest? :-)

When I first picked up the Note 4 at BB, the guy showed me the video and I said wow that looks incredible. Then I left the store to go and visit another BB that had the Edge. When I remembered how good the Note 3 was overall, I found a video demo at the other BB for the Note 3 and could not see much of a difference between the Note 3 demo video and Note 4 demo video. One of the things that I dislike about the demo machines, is that they crank up the brightness on all demos. When I adjust it to what I have I on my Note 3, that changes a lot

Sorry I forgot to address the other options. I was not completely in awe over the Note 4. It was nice. Is it worth upgrading right away? I am not sure. There seems to be a lot of new phones coming out soon so, I am not sure. Motorola will be releasing a new Droid Turbo supposedly soon, It does not have the stylus but the specs indicate a SD card slot, removable battery and a much faster processor than the S5. Not sure about the display. After all, what does QUAD HD refer to? Perhaps its just marketing at its best. I heard on the news the other day, that the latest controversy is over 4K. The human eye apparently cannot pick up that resolution so, its more of a perception if anything else. Then again that view is subjective.

Honestly I played with the note 4 today at best buy. If I had a note 3 I wouldn't upgrade to the note4. You can barely tell the difference between the two. The note note 4 has some minor upgrades. I have both phones. The note 3 and galaxy s5. The phone is fast and fluid. I did notice lag but I'm assuming that is because it's a display model. If someone were to ask me to upgrade I would say no unless you need the latest and greatest.

Having both the Note 3 and S5 also removes the main reason I'd "need" to upgrade and that's the camera. TBH, I'm not impressed with the Note 3's shooter but very happy with the S5 in that regard. I think its great that they put a more capable shooter in the Note 4. If I didn't have either the Note 3 or Note 4 it'd come down to cost delta. I wouldn't pay $100+ more for the better camera.

qHD = Quarter Full HD =960 x 540 =.518mp

HD = 1280 x 720 =. 92mp

fHD =1920 x 1080 =2.07mp

QHD = Quad HD = 4x the resolution of HD =2560 x 1440 = 3.68mp

4k = 2160 x 3840 =8.29mp

Are you going to get the note 4?

Well...im coming from iphone 4s. Anyway, i decided to pick the note 4 instead of the note3, since that i wont be replacing the phone for the next 2 years. I've had the iphone 4s for 1.5 years now, but after using it for 4 months, it becomes so boring. Hahaa #limitedUse

Better strap yourself in. iPhone 4s to Note 3? Could be mind blowing if you're not careful. We're here to help if needed.
