Sprints spark network. If you are in the area you will get very fast speeds.

It means you'll be able to use their tri-band LTE if you're in an area that has it.

Sprint Spark kicked in thorugh most of my bus ride home, which is a huge improvement from what my connections were previously. I stayed with sprint primarily because of the claim this is a spark enhanced town. So far, so good.

And where are you?

Tri band just means that it is capable of operating on three lte bands that Sprint uses. Att note 4 is penta band, so it can operate on all five bands that att uses or will use

I'm getting it here in far SW suburbs of Chicago. Sprint has greatly improved in last few years in this area. Couple of years ago during the upgrades it was horrible.

Sprint doesn't have Volte yet that I know of

They do not. So Sprint won't be able to do Voice and data at the same time.

Before Sprint would toss two radios in their phones so you could use one radio for voice.. The next for data. This is how older CDMA technology works (it can only handle 1 operation at a time whereas GSM can handle both with 1 radio). Since Spark is now out they decided to go back to 1 radio.. So therefor you only get voice or data... Not both.. Unless on wifi).. Or on VoLTE since your phone could use LTE for the call and data at the same time.

Not sure why Sprint decided to do that now.. But they did.. Even though I don't see them launching VoLTE for awhile.

I did notice that the phone has an option for GSM in the roaming settings, is that there by mistake or does my sprint phone have a GSM radio in it, portibility after i complete my contract to go to a GSM provider?
