Note 4 The camera sensor is not being fully utilized!

it appears the 4:3 sensor in this camera is not being fully utilized in *any* of the shooting resolutions resulting in all 4:3 aspect resolutions being much narrower than possible- and also much narrower than any previous phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 crippled FOV when shooting 4:3 ?: Mobile Photography Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review.

Is it possible that a 3rd party camera app might be able to take advantage of the full sensor size when shooting in a 4:3 aspect to give a wider field of view?

Andriod 5.0 should open it up to full capabilities. That's one of the features being add. Now we can take raw images straight from camera.
