Note 4 to Nexus 6 - What Do You Miss?

I'm looking at leaving my Note 4 for a Nexus 6. I picked one up from Moto the other day and it should be here Tuesday. I am still within my Note 4 return window to AT&T, so I can still do that. But I'm just wondering what anyone who has made the same switch thought about the move? Any regrets? Anything you REALLY miss?

I wouldn't make that change, but I'd miss the S-Pen. (Since I'm on AT&T, I certainly wouldn't miss the welded shut bootloader.) Oh, and I'd miss the removable battery.

I have barely touched the S Pen so far. And removable battery and storage doesn't mean a lot to me. I have been a huge stock Android fan for awhile. I pretty much used a Nexus 5 and M8 GPE for the last year until settling on the Note. I like the phone, quite a bit actually, but I find myself missing stock Android a bit.

I actually had att send me a nexus 6 and I was excited. Got it and all was good until I went to att for SIM and picked up the note 4. I paid 35$ restocking fee to get the note. I really like it. I had lag "hardware issues?" Right out of the box with nexus 6. Froze up when I opened Google play.

If I had the choice, I would choose the Note 4 over the Nexus 6 any day. I am a big fan of the Nexus 6. I actually ordered one because I wanted to play with it for a couple of days and then I sent it back. I had no intention of keeping it, however. It wasn't better than the Note 4 to me. And I liked the screen on the Note 4 better for some reason. The one thing that I did like about the Nexus 6 over the Note 4 was the screen size and basically the overall size of the phone. Bigger is better to me. I wish that my iPhone 6 Plus had a 6 inch screen. But the Note 4 just has so much more to offer on both the hardware and software sides. The Note 4 is the only smartphone that I would trade my iPhone 6 Plus for. Now these are just my opinions and I was and still am a big Samsung fan, so I definitely have a bias.

I definitely like the Note. There's just something about stock Android. I've always loved it. Basically switched to AT&T so I could use unlocked phones and get a Nexus. It's a tough call. I'll have a few days to decide. I know the Note has more software going for it. But how much will I use it? I don't know. I've used the S Pen a couple times just to make myself use it. And removable battery isn't important. I have spare battery chargers for long trips and I don't keep phones more than 6-12 months, so I'm not worried about the battery crapping out on me. And I ordered a 64gb Nexus, so I'm not too worried about storage either.

Some of the stuff is cool. But most of it is just fluff and I can't stand why some manufacturers change so much. They could easily have the very beneficial stuff added and still be basically stock. Seems to work for Motorola. I think that's my biggest problem. I like unadulterated Android way too much.

How so? How is this different than using anything else Google or any other phone? Pretty sure Google has all my info locked up at this point anyway. Been using Android and Gmail for years.

To whatever extent said privacy actually exists... you're sharing your information with Google to the same extent with either phone in using Google Services. Of course, with the Nexus, you're not herded into additional software that might create other possible avenues of info susceptibility because there's no additional bloatware.

Absolutely not. Ha. I really love my iPhone 6 Plus. It has been a solid performer although I had to have the first one replaced because there was an issue with the screen. But I'm happy with the iPhone 6 Plus. But going back to the Note 4 is tempting. I really loved that smartphone.

But the battery life, screen, and size of the iPhone was my favorite. Plus I love the leather case. I wish I didn't have to get rid of them all. I'm stuck with just the Nexus 6 right now. First world problems to the extreme.

Well, you guys could be a insane gadget freak like me (not that I'd wish that on you) and have both. I have not only the Note 4 and 6+ but a Note Edge and Note 3 as well. I love my Notes. This iPhone 6+ is a nice phone and it's smooth and all but I love my Notes.
