Is there any way to make video calls with the Note 4? Searching it seems that its a function of the Note 3. I am not a fan of Skype so i would rather stay away from that. If not native, any good apps that integrate it well?
Wondering how they did it in the commercial with Dax Sheppard and Kristin Bell????
Also would like to be able to do it to not only android devices on another provider, but also to Iphone on same provider.

I tried messaging plus that came installed on my phone and it actually works pretty good at video calls.. Maybe give that a try

I use hangouts.

Very nice, I haven't used hangouts because it seemed harder to use than messaging. Searching for contacts seems to be a pain, it will only display the first number listed for the contact.
Thanks for the tip

Messaging plus? is that the stock messaging app?
Does it only call to ppl who have Samsung phones or can we call any1?

My old GSII used to have a built in feature for video calling but I could never figure out how to make it work. lt doesn't look like that feature has made it to these newer phones. l like Skype on my tablet though.

Tango

Uhg... had to delete tango. It wants to post every single pic you take. Disable that and it's Not bad...but if you don't...it might post that one pic to your mom and friends that you just don't want out...know What I mean?

MAY THE 4 BE WITH YOU!

It came installed on mine so I tried it out and set it up on my wife's gs5.. Video chat worked pretty good.. Only I hated was to send a quick text I had to wait for app to load every single time! I'm not sure if it works with anything other than Samsung phones.. I think it's Samsungs answer to iphones messenging where it works best among Samsungs devices

I believe that messages + is the Verizon messaging app, not a Samsung exclusive. I used it with my Droid Turbo.

I have message plus and it is not exclusive to a carrier as I have sprint and love it

Not sure who your carrier is, but hopefully advanced calling (VoLTE) will become available on Verizon with Lollipop. It is already available on a number of phones, including the S5, Turbo and the Note Edge. With advanced calling you can make an HD video call right from the stock app.

I had the droid turbo up until last week when i got the note4. The HD calling is not all that great. For the droid it made simultaneous call and data work, but the phone call quality to me went downhill.

I heard more crackling in the calls, and when i would call someone they would answer and there was just enough of a delay it would cut my first word off.

I am in an area that gets really good 4g lte service, but i dont know if the volte is good in my area but turning on advamced calling had a bad effect on my calls..

I had it on my Maxx. The calls between phones with advanced calling were really clear. The other calls sounded a little like being in a tin can. Oh ... and the video calls were very clear.

I have it active now, but doesn't seem to be working with Iphone. My wife has the 6+ and it is not available to her (she has been using it w/ other Iphones so I know it is turned on), only one I have is to someone w/ a galaxy S5.

Yes, it is a Verizon app. I thought about trying it but when I looked at all the terms and conditions....it creeped me out a bit. Also, do most sms apps use data? I am unlimited, but I still try to keep it low......So just interested to know about the messaging + app
