Look/design is entirely in the eye of the beholder... I couldn't publicly knock any device for it's look... I can say it's not for me but I couldn't say something looks bad or cheap.. because to someone else it looks great and feels premium... I like the Nexus 6 but I bought 5 different cases to test out just to minimize wear on the device...
The Nexus 5 was pretty bad even new out the box for battery.... 10 hours with 2 hours screen on was about maxed out.... if you were lucky... if you can pull 48+ and 4 - 5 screen on with the Note 4 that is shockingly good.. I've not seen anyone posting 48+ and 4+ screen on with the Note 4.... Pretty much every battery drain test I've seen has the Note 4 lasting about 45 minutes longer than the Nexus 6.... I can go 17 hours on average with between 3 - 4 screen on... If I throw it into battery save mode while at work I can easily go past 24 hours on a single charge.... On a super heavy Saturday I went 12 with 5 hours screen on...
Now I usually charge when I first get to work in the morning since I know I have 2 - 3 hours of nonstop work to do... and then after lunch I usually charger for at least 2 hours before leaving at 4:00... At 4 I usually leave work at or near 100% remaining and by bed time (11 pm usually) I still have 30+% remaining with about 4+ hours screen on.... I just don't get the need for 48 hours of battery life (yes by now you'd think battery life should be a lot better) even if you are super busy and travel nonstop you have to settle down for at least a few hours to sleep, eat or shower (or at least hopefully) and with the included turbo charger on both devices you can go 0 - 100 in about 90 minutes....
I am not a heavy user so my patterns may not be typical (on wifi, no push email, all apps on manual refresh, location on power saving) but it was nice to go an entire weekend without needing a charge.
