Note 5 Messaging issue

Hello everyone, I have a slight problem and i was hoping someone might have an answer. I love my Note 5 and I've had it since it came out but about two or three weeks ago I stopped getting pictures from one of my contacts. I've always used Textra and they use Hangouts but it's never been an issue before. I switched to Hangouts about a week ago and that fixed it but I really don't like Hangouts. Anybody have an idea as to why all of a sudden I couldn't get pictures in Textra? They just showed up as blank messages or I got this message "4504: Message not found". I've uninstalled and reinstalled Textra and that didn't change it. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried using the stock messaging app? I don't use Textra so I can't comment on that. I'm just saying the stock app may be an alternative if you don't like Hangouts.

Contact Textra sounds like the update is causing some issues.

Also check in settings to see what the max MMS size is. I think Hangouts send rather large file sizes.
