Note 5 Software update killed my battery today, Why?

I got a good size update today took 10 min to install, now my battery only gives me jhalf a day with hardly any use. Is there anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for any help.

Hi there!

You'll join many with your same issue, after a major update. I would recommend entering recovery mode and Wiping the Cache Partition....see if that helps...if not, then I'm afraid your only other option is a full factory reset. Personally, I do a full reset after each update, but that's just me.

IF YOU DO THE FULL RESET.....BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR PERSONAL DATA, IT WILL ERASE YOUR PHONE TO STOCK.

Me too. Battery gone in 3 hours.This update sucks. Cropping photos went from one click to 7 buried steps!

I personally use Samsung Smart Switch and Helium. Both are available in the play store. The back up is stored on your PC. You'll need to download their PC version of them as well.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping not to restore. I hope this battery issue tappers down. I enjoy the Note 5 too much to let it go.
