Note 5 sound quality on a call

I am new to android, picked up a Note 5 in January after 3 iPhones. I like the phone (great screen, pics, etc) but have been told by a few people that the sound quality when on a call is not as clear as my iPhone 5s in either cell calls or Skype calls. Any ideas how to improve that?

I have excellent call quality.

If you have VOLTE I advise to try turning that off and see if that makes a difference. I had the same complaints and after turning this off boom great reception and no issues
