Note 5 spen not working

I recently noticed that my spen doesn't really work on a certain part of the screen. It's a small, circular area at the very top of the screen in the middle, almost directly beneath the company logo. I noticed it in the snote application; it seems to respond when I apply pressure but if I write as I normally would, it leaves a blank space in between. Has anyone else noticed this/had this problem?

Should I take my phone back?

Try going to the store and testing it out on the display model. If it does not do it you can just return it while you are there.
