note 5 vibrating when i lift it from my desk

More often I have noted that the phone vibrates when i take the phone from a table or sofa. There is no notification at all. Screen doesnt come alive. It just vibrates. Anyone know why?

Did u turn off the smart alert option in settings, motions and gestures?

I like this feature. Think its been available since the Note 3, or maybe earlier.

yes i remember this from the note 3 very convenient because it lets me know that i missed something. Now there a few phantom vibrations here and there.
