hi guys i have a note 5 and i was able to do video chats but now i can it says unavalible i have been getting that msg since january now does any one else have this problem.

Are you talking about video calling using the Phone app, or video chats using some other messaging app? If the former, make sure your VoLTE/Advanced Calling/Enhanced LTE setting is turned on. Also, which carrier are you on?

I am talking about the video calling on the phone not an app I was able to do it before now it says unavailable and I am with fido I tried looking for the setting under phone settings and can't find it

Were you able to do video calling previously on Fido, or did you recently switch to Fido and brought over your phone from a different carrier?

Which phone settings menu were you looking at? The VoLTE setting is typically in the main system settings (not the Phone app's settings).

Try Settings>Connections>Mobile Networks>Mobile Data.

On Verizon N5 ... In order to make Video call ... go to :
Settiing - Advanced calling ..."Turn on"

Did you get this phone originally from Fido, or from somewhere else?

I don't see it under mobile network and I don't see advanced calling only advanced features

Like I said .. I have Verizon carrier ,

Any recent system updates to the phone?

Features like video calling might not work well if you're not on the original carrier that the phone was designed for, so I wonder if some recent update or change in the system broke the feature.

Then it's probably related to that update. Did you get it over-the-air? That would be interesting, because phones that were originally specific to a carrier usually have to be on that carrier's network to get an official system update over-the-air.

I must of got it over the air fido doesn't have the note 5 my dad told me when he got the phone from T mobile it was already unlocked

You don't remember exactly how the update installed? It's also possible to update a Samsung phone using Samsung Smart Switch (or Samsung Kies, for older phones).
