Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Nexus devices are super smooth. The Nexus 6 I had last year was faster and smoother than my iPhone 6 Plus and any other smartphone I had owned prior. My Note 5 is plenty fast and smooth.
With those 4GB of RAM I'm 110% sure it's likely as smooth as my 6P. I'd like to try one out but thankfully there aren't any locally on Craigslist. Ha

Yeah, Craigslist feeds the addiction for many.I don't even look anymore to fee who is trading what. I can say this, the Note 5 would be a difficult device to part ways with.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I had a 6s plus before the note 5. The things that made me switch were the amazing screen and getting rid of the grid of icons on the screen. If Apple switches to amoled on the iphone 7 and offers more layout customization I would definitely switch back.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

This has become me. If I'm using Android it WILL be Nexus or at the least, Motorola which is so close it could be Nexus adjac! Lol

I agree. I have a Moto X pure and it's the best phone I have ever owned including iphone, it will either be a moto or nexus from here on out. Hopefully others will follow suit.

Yeah I don't look either because I know there's nothing there. One thing I know for sure is that I'm finally ready to break away from being held to an iPhone because my wife and in laws all have them.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I don't like managing multiple ecosystems. It drives me nuts. But, you are night, you don't have to have an iPhone to use an iPad. I just choose to operate that way.

Me too. I dumped my iphone for a moto x pure and went ahead and gave my ipad mini (I like the small profile tablets) and got an nvidia Shield Tablet. I still have my mac, but a lot of people actually have an android phone and an ipad. I just prefer android.

Heh, it's the opposite here. Myself and my wife were the only iphone owners I know and now it's my wife and my 10 year old niece that I gave my iphone to.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Bought the WiFi black sport version last night. So far (which hasn't been long lol) I really like it. I like the spinning dial a lot better then the dial on the apple watch. I took it off the charger around 8 this morning and I'm at 83%...way better then apples. Not trying to bash the apple watch at all. There were some features I liked but I'm really enjoying the gear s2. Samsung just needs to include a microphone and better implementation of Google features and they will have a winner.

Was at AT&T store yesterday and the manager told me they were selling 5 iPhones to every Android. I could see that with my own eyes and the Apple phone display was dark. None of the phones had power. I tried both myself Note 5 and iPhone 6s plus. Kept the iPhone for 2 reasons; battery life and poor reception. Note 5 is a beautiful phone but I got to go with what works for me. Cannot go wrong either way.

I haven't pulled the trigger but get the feeling next time I hit AT&T I will be picking one up.

I am trying to give this Nexus a good run. The software is fantastic. I feel like things like SwiftKey run smoother. Just not sure I like that fingerprint scanner on the back. That being said it works better than the Note's.

I know. It looks interesting to me as well. So far I have been able to abstain. You said it doesn't have a microphone, so how do you make and receive calls? How do you use s-voice?

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Man, I keep giving my iPhone 6 chances. Mostly because I have the Apple watch as well. That and my wife lives Apple lol.

I just hate typing on it! I typed one of the posts here last night and I swear it took me 15 minutes to type and fix everything.

I think I'll just ask Santa for the Gear watch and leave the iPhone 6/Apple watch in my rear view mirror.

Galaxy Note 5 FTW!!!

Everything runs smoother on the 6p. I definitely can see a difference using the same of everything on my Note 5. Yeah the fingerprint takes a bit of time but the phone is really fantastic. Not to say the Note is bad. It's just the Nexus 6p is just insane. Love it

get an android tablet then you get yourself a complimentary device to the phone.

:)

I keep forgetting everyone is not as bipolar as I am with having multiple ecosystems . I've had a blackberry, Windows, Apple, and Android combo before. 😂😂

The Gear S2 3G does have a microphone. The other two have S-voice so they must as well. The 3G is definitely fatter because of GPS, but for me the all in one functionality is what attracts me. It still has less depth than my Apple Watch.

Let's see if I can make it through the week without one. Tis the season.

I have to stay with it a little longer. You're selling me well. Plus I can still use my Gear 2 (if I get it)

Well im not trying to sell you. Just saying with my experience with it I love the 6p. Both the Note and the 6p are great. I remember saying to myself i wouldn't buy a carrier branded phone again after the Note 4. Well I did and it was the Note. Massive improvement and didn't have problems. In Canada the carriers are brutal with updates. I mean one update since the Note came out in Aug. Just ridiculous.

I like updates and I do like the fact that I am running Marshmallow and have the latest security patches also and i dont need to worry about my carrier anynore. Like I've said before the Spen was in the Note over 90% of the time. Never used a quarter of the features because I honestly didn't care for them. Not that I didn't think they were good I just didn't have a use for the them in my daily routines.

What I have now is a phone that is crazy fast, smoothest phone I've ever used, a nice clean UI and battery life I am so impressed with.

What I also know is that I don't have a single urge to even consider going to iOS again after using these last two amazing Android phones. I see my wife's 6S Plus everyday and its nothing to me.
