Note 7 dunk

I took my s7 edge in the ocean and the pool. Will do the same with my N7. Just be aware that after you do the water damage indicator in the sim/sd slot will change color.

Via the great NOTE 7..
Not necessarily true. It shouldn't change colors. If so that means you damaged your phone in some way. I dunked my s7 edge plenty of times and mine never turned red/pink. You just have to be sure the Sim tray is in all the way and not to go over the 30 minute mark.

I've showered with it a few times since Friday. I figured there is no longer a need to have my waterproof bluetooth speaker since this can definitely take the water. I've come to realize that when the screen is on some light water splashing on it will cause it to think there is a "touch" and it opened up a couple of apps on separate occasions. I will say that taking a phone, technology that I have done everything in my power to avoid contact with water, into the shower and letting get wet is a very strange feeling. I still cringe a bit but less and less each time I do it. I completely love having the music in the shower with me and be able to take a call, send a text or chat via Whatsapp in the shower (or beach or pool, for that matter). I just need to find a caddy or something for it so it can be safe in there without worry of it falling.
An added thought... this will take sexting to a new level!

I'm keeping my S7 active around for pics in the pool, beach trips etc but I'm not going to purposely soak my Note 7. It's good to have the water resistance just in case but im not going to tempt fate.
You mean the phone that consumer reports says is most definitely not water resistant? ☺️

Was a little leary of doing it at first but curiosity got the best of me this morning. Made a video of it into an inch 1/2 of water and turned it into a Gif for everyone easier to view so its a little choppy. Shot it with my old Note 5. Works perfectly after dunking it about 5 times to get the video right.

Maybe their units were from a defective run of devices. Mine has held up perfectly in my pool on several occasions and also has endured a trip to Mexico and Destin as well. Still looks and performs as well as it did the first day I had it.

Nope and no plans to... Remember Samsung doesn't cover water damage

It started raining yesterday while my gf and I were walking from the car to the grocery store. My gf requested that she use the phone to hold it over her head and block the rain since I had "been bragging for weeks" about that feature, especially since her iPhone doesn't have it. She thinks she's funny. I let her, it was fine and works great.

If they are showing commercial of Lol Wayne pouring champagne on purpose on his phone, they better!

I am glad that water will not fry it, but I see no reason to test it.
That said, I DID test the Gorilla glass by doing a SERIOUS face plant while holding my phone.

I got banged all to HELL, but my phone came through with nary a scratch!
