Does anybody swim with their Pixel watch 2 for fitness tracking? It has a swim tracking mode, however Google also says to keep the watch free from moisture as much as possible.

Anyone use it for swim tracking on a regular basis?

OK, does anyone wear their Pixel watch in the shower? I'm curious if anyone has tested the water resistance. Or, do you keep your watch investment dry all the time?

I have read too many user horror stories regarding Pixel watches and water. Google calls the watch "water resistant" and until they start using the term "waterproof," I will avoid putting a Pixel watch in contact with water as much as I am able.
5 ATM water resistance is only "splash resistant". A watch needs to be at least 10 ATM water resistant for surface swimming.

"Waterproof" is not legal for watch manufacturers to claim. That was done in old advertisements in the 1950s. However, even a current Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000 m is referred to as "water resistant to 6000m", not "waterproof".

Well, that's probably deeper than I will free dive!
