I imagine if they did it will be ok. Like Apple stores they have machine that helps them automate the opening process for replacing batteries onsite, they probably do it by machine and it re-closes. They'd have to ya think to reapply the seal properly for water tight seal.
So, do you think the back was removed and the battery replaced on your replacement Note 7?
Can you see any signs under the back glass or on the edges on the back that maybe it was opened?
