The net is buzzing as to whether this is real or fake - If this truly turns out to be another GN7 incident... I'd expect an immediate shutdown of all remaining N7s across all the carriers, along with a push of the updates to stop the device from charging.

Hopefully CeeLo is OK ...

They are saying they do not know what kind of phone it was? Stop spreading false news that it was an not until it is revealed. Some said that it was an IPhone. Some are saying it is a fake!!! No one is sure. I just hope he is okay.

And if it was a note 7 that's his fault. He should have known better. Doesn't he play GTA?

I think it's fake. Notice he turns around in just the right position so that the camera can get a good view of his ear.

Not the best time to shoot a video of a phone blowing up in his face. Alot of people obviously would assume it's the note7. Glad it's fake and that he is ok but...smh

What's wrong with this guy. Did he think the Note 7 recall's didn't apply to him? He was exempt because he was a celebrity? Grow a pair.

It's fake. He was shooting some kind of video. He posted a message on Facebook yesterday.

Isn't the internet wonderful? Someone posts a video of a phone blowing up and right away all kinds of conclusions drawn.

I'm not - least of my worries ... though I find it somewhat hilarious that this turned out to be a viral marketing thing gone wrong... And sadly on top of that - the immediate reaction is that everyone assumed that the phone was a N7...

Simply proves how raw the issue is and the level of PR damage Samsung now has to combat.

Put simply - any future reports of a phone exploding, etc., Will now yield an automatic assumption/reaction that the device in question is a Samsung.
