I was on board from day 1 but I just can't deal with this mess. There's still the 14 day window. Other then that, hey the note 7s older sibling is a lil smaller but just as curvy and has almost as many skills lol. We'll see how it all plays out.

Bad news! I don't want to see a stupid green icon sitting with the remainder of the white icons. I really hope this is wrong. If they do that I might actually wait for the N8. It's bad enough that they always ship white everything with black Notes. This is bogus.

I've seen that Monday, September 19 date in a few other articles and it was listed for other countries, not the U.S.. We can hope but I'd be a little surprised if it does happen that soon.

I disagree. Couldn't care less what color the tiny icon is. I'll change my wallpaper. If it came in green to begin with u wouldn't have bought it?? Really?

Just counted 10 widgets and apps that are on my home screens right now. One being android central, of course. And if u really wanted to u can change your folder colors to green as well. Assuming you use folders. I do. It works for me! Wouldn't care what they did with the icon. If they needed to do it, I think it's a great choice of color. But honestly, I couldn't care less...

Actually all it says is "carriers and retailers" and doesn't mention any countries by names. In other articles like the one from the Wall Street Journal it specifically mentions countries and the starting date was 9-15 but Canada and the U.S. were not listed in the group. Crossing fingers the replacements will be available sometime between tomorrow and next Friday as rumored. Holding on mine til then. It'll be nice for all of us (and Samsung) to put this fire crap behind us so all the reviewers, press, etc can just concentrate/report on the great phone it is!

Well, now that we're getting replacements, I'm on the phone with Sprint putting feet to fire over my discounts that got messed up. I may give this guy up and buy again with price drops. Trying to let them keep my business, but if I don't see the discounts I signed on for happening or some viable compromise then I'll give it back very sadly and go back to my N4.

With this news I have a few days to decide to go back to the Note 7 or stick with the s7 edge. Finally in a good place.
